Sudden outburst

RAYMOND

" I'm sorry " she said as she quickly pushed me off her and I hit my head on the car .

" I'm sorry " she said again making me chuckle despite the pain I was feeling in my head .

'' Calm down kheera it was a mistake ,it's was just our lips touching by mistake " I replied trying to make her feel comfortable .

She looked annoyed at what I said seeing the way she frowned .

" Are you okay ? I asked

" I'm fine ,can we please go home now ? "She replied in a tone that shows she's annoyed .

What did I do wrong?

I kick start the car and I drove straight to her house .

The drive to her house was silent ,she didn't talk or look at me once .

" Thanks for the ride " she said and got out of the car .

I came out too . should I ask her what's going on?

" Kheera did I by chance offend you? " I asked and she turned to  look at me since she was already at her door.

" Goodnight Raymond " she replied and locked the door .

I sighed .she's definitely mad at me !

But what did I do wrong ?

The following morning.................

KHEERA

It was just our lips touching by mistake ! Really? Something that shook all the organs in my body was just a mistake to him?

He even has the gut to ask if he offended me ,who wouldn't be offended by what he said?

''Someone that doesn't like him " a voice in my head said and shook my head .

Whatever!

" What are you doing kheera?" I turned to see my boss staring at me and that was when I realized I was unconsciously writing with a pen on the computer in front of me ! Shit !

" Erm , I'm sorry .... Nothing sir ! " I replied

" Stop thinking about useless things and get to work ,we have deadlines to meet " he said with his all squeezed face and walked to his office .

Is this man a wizard or something ? How did he know I was thinking about useless things ?

I need to be careful with this man ,if he can read minds that he'll know all the horrible things I've said to him in my mind !

Friday evening .............

I sat down annoyed with no choice as I'm getting dolled up by the almighty Tracy .

The dress she made for me looked really nice  but too revealing and she wouldn't let me have my way or change the dress .

It's a white long gown that has a slit in front which I s reaching thighs revealing them to some extent . It hugged my body perfectly making my body shape known.

" Stop frowning like a little girl that is being forced to do something by her mum " Tracy said hitting my head with the styling comb she was using for my hair .

" Ouch ! Well literarily you are acting like my mum already , nagging me and telling me what to wear " I yelled at her and she rolled her eyes at me .

" Done! Now let's show you to Raymond who is waiting outside ,we've kept him waiting for too long " she said .

I suddenly felt scared at that moment ,she didn't tell me he was outside the whole time .

" I thought he said he wasn't going? I asked  and she nodded .

" He's not really attending ,he's just going to drop us off and go back home ,we need a gentle man to accompany us " she replied nonchalantly .

I suddenly felt the need to look good so I started to check the mirror but making sure Tracy is not aware .

" Let's go " she said and we both walked out ,my heart about to jump out of my chest .

" Ray !" Tracy called and he looked at her then his gaze shifted to me and he  stared at me giving me a look I can't decipher If it's admiration or surprise.

Does he like the way I look?

I smiled at him and he returned the smile as he got into the driver's seat and Tracy and I sat in the back seat .

'' Kheera looks stunning right ? Tracy asked on the way .

I stared at him really Interested in what he thinks .

Our eyes met when he looked at me through the rest mirror then I quickly looked away .

'' Isn't the dress too short ? He asked and I rolled my eyes at him .

So he doesn't like the way I look . whatever!

Few minutes later .............

We arrived at the venue and the place is already buzzing with crowds .

I sighed thinking about how I'm going to cope at this party with this much people?

We got down from the car .

" See you tomorrow little brother " Tracy said and I faked a smile at him even when I'm very pissed at him . then we turned to leave .

" I'll wait for the party " he said making us stop in our tracks .

For some unknown reasons  I felt happy hearing he wants to wait for the party .

" What ? I thought you hated parties like this?" Tracy asked .

'' There's a first time for everything Tracy " he replied and I smiled .

We all walked inside and all attention was turned on us or should I say me ? Lust was evident on the faces of the men and envy on that of the women .

It seems I looked really beautiful so why doesn't Raymond find me attractive?

Why am I concerned about how he thinks of me ?

" I told you ,you look stunning bestie ! Look at how everyone is staring at you " Tracy whispered into my ears and I smiled .

" You look stunning too " I replied and she smiled .

" I'll be back guys ,I need to greet my friends over there or do you guys want to come with me ? She asked .

" No!" Raymond and I chorused at the same time then we looked at each other .

" Fine whatever ! I'll be back soon " she said and walked to a circle of people drinking and speaking to themselves .

Tracy is a freak when it comes to making friends !

Once again I'm alone with him and I am very nervous!

" Should I get us something to drink ? Raymond asked breaking the silence and  I nodded .

'' I'll be right back " he replied and walked off to the bar area .

I brought out my cellphone and starting playing with it .

This is why I hate parties ! It is always boring when you are alone .

" Hi princess " I looked up to see a man smiling at me and staring at my body in a manner that is making me uncomfortable .

" Hi " I replied and continued playing with my phone .

" You look stunning princess" he continued and I faked a smile at him .

Can't he just bug off?

" Do you mind if we dance ? He asked again and I got irritated .

" She's mine " Ray said and I turned to see him holding two glasses of wine .

The man got annoyed and walked away and I smiled .

The way he said " she's mine " rang in my ears .

He gave a glass to me and I took it then we toasted and I took a sip .

" You look beautiful tonight " he said and I paused the sip I wanted to take .

" I don't know if  I should take that as a compliment from someone who said my clothe was too short " I replied and rolled my eyes at him .

" Yeah it's too short because it takes a great self control to stop looking at you " he said and  we stared at each other ....

So he finds me attractive !

But why am I happy? Shouldn't I be pissed my friend's younger brother finds me attractive?

" Are you always this straight forward or are you getting tipsy from the wine ? I asked smirking at him .

'' I think what's making me tipsy is how you look kheera ......you are really beautiful " he replied holding my hand .I stared at the my hand which is intertwined with his .

The way I'm feeling right now is making me lose my mind !

Kheera please come back to your senses!

" Why were you mad at me that day ? He asked still holding onto my hand .

I suddenly lost my voice ! Gosh I have to say something ! This is so embarrassing!

" I was... erm ...not mad at you " I managed to reply and he shook his head holding tightly onto my hand .

" Was it because of the accident? He asked and I got annoyed .first it was a mistake ! Now an accident? .

I jerked my hand of his !

" Accident? Really ? You call kissing me and making my heart flutter an accident? " I yelled at him .

Oh my goodness! What did I just say?
