“Why didn’t you tell me?”

I wiped my face with my palm right after I pushed my hair back.

“Which one?” Tyler asked, confused and surprised.

“About Sir Calix.”

“Why would I tell you?”

His question hits me.

Of course, he didn’t know anything about me -- about my child.

“I don’t know and didn’t think that a person like Calix Watson is someone you know. And is there a reason for Sapphire to call Calix ‘daddy’ and cry that intensely?”

I averted my eyes from him.

“Sofi.”

I looked back at him. “Ty, have you and Sir Calix been talking for a long time?”

A few seconds passed before he answered my question. “Not really.” he answered sparingly.

“What do you mean by not really?”

“Four years ago, I transacted with him about business. I even attended the BriW seven anniversary event even though we hadn’t signed a contract yet. But, after that anniversary he didn’t get back to me about the business deal we discussed. Then almost two years ago he contacted me for business
