Miley's POV:

We hit the facility just after midnight.

Team A made chaos sing loudly: setting off smoke bombs, gunfire, and shouts in every direction.

Corradi’s men poured toward the noise like moths to a flame, their boots thundering across metal grates. The guards relayed the news of a flash attack through their radios as they scrambled towards the east like blinded, deafened, and distracted rats.

Exactly like I planned.

While they were busy chasing ghosts, we slipped in from the west, through the old drainage access. There were just a handful of us, crouched low under the sound of war crashing down on the other side.

Inside the warehouse, it was hell.

Crates burned in scattered corners, lighting the whole space in shades of wild orange and red. The machinery screeched like metal being torn in half.

The plan was clear: they were planning to burn this place to the ground, with the guards escaping at the last moment.

The stench of oil, sweat, and smoke choked the air. Gunshots echo

  • Mafia King's Contract Wife: The Angel of Revenge   Ch-34: My love... and my hate

Karina’s POV“You’re a liar, Lorenzo!” I screamed, my voice hoarse, burning. “A lying, backstabbing traitor! Do you honestly think I’ll just swallow whatever filth you throw at me just because my father isn’t here to shut you up himself?”He flinched, but I pushed ahead, jabbing a finger into his chest, wishing I could carve out his heart myself. “I don’t give a damn what fantasy you’ve cooked up. Do think I’m that weak? That blind? You want to crawl into the throne now that he’s gone, don’t you? But let me remind you, you were nobody without him. Just his little lapdog. And now, you’ll be nothing again. I’ll throw you out of this gang so fast your name will be nothing but ash. You’ll beg for scraps, and you know what? Knowing that you were the right hand man to Don Corradi, nobody will even spare you a glass of water.”Lorenzo stood there with that same damn blank face that had fooled my father into trusting him, but not me. My breath heaved as I stepped closer, shoving him hard.

  • Mafia King's Contract Wife: The Angel of Revenge   Ch-33: The Funeral

Author's POV:Karina sat in the backseat of the sleek black car, silent like a phantom wrapped in a shroud of grief. Her black lace dress clung to her, elegant but soaked completely at the sleeves where her tears had fallen. It had barely been fifteen minutes since the car had driven out of the mansion, but her make-up was already ruined. Mascara streaked down her cheeks, highlighting her red and swollen eyes even more, while lipstick was smudged at the corners of her trembling mouth. Her third breakdown since that morning had left her breathless, tears still streaming down her face as she clutched a crumpled photo of her father against her chest, with its glossy surface smeared with sweat and mascara. The picture was an old one, from her sixteenth birthday. He had one hand on her shoulder, the other holding a cigar, laughing like the world would always be his.And now, he was gone. She pressed it to her chest, like maybe it could slow the collapse inside her.Her body was here, b

  • Mafia King's Contract Wife: The Angel of Revenge   Ch-32: War Cry

Author's POV:The hallway in Karina’s villa was dimly lit, shadows pooling beneath the antique sconces as if even the walls sensed something was off. Her heels clicked in a sharp, impatient rhythm against the marble floor. Ahe clutched her phone tight in one hand, knuckles white, thumb hovering over the last dialed number: her father, again. No answer. Her father had been clear about his reasons for attending the bidding. Apart from giving him even more control over the city, he wanted to show Nico his real strength. And once Nico would see that he couldn’t win without Don Corradi’s backing, he would come crawling back, groveling for mercy and apologizing for his arrogance. Her father had been cracking down on Nico's strongholds for weeks now… and now, this was the final straw which would break the camel's back. He would be begging her to forgive his betrayal, that's what Don Corradi had promised to his precious daughter. And his pampered princess had been waiting to hear those w

  • Mafia King's Contract Wife: The Angel of Revenge   Ch-31: The Tunnel

Miley’s POV:We were halfway through the tunnel when the shadows shifted.I froze mid-step.Moments later, there was the sound of shuffling footsteps from behind a cracked support beam, and a figure stumbled into the faint light: wild-eyed, blood-soaked, and staggering.Don Corradi. His left arm hung useless, soaked in crimson. His suit was torn, burnt at the edges, as if he had clawed his way through the fire itself. Probably, he was present at the other end of the harbour where our other men had been setting off explosions. He had probably gotten caught up in one of those explosions, but somehow, he was still standing. The tunnel light caught the dull gleam of the pistol in his trembling hand.“You ruined everything, you bastarf!”He croaked, voice raw and cracked like gravel under tires. “You took my daughter. My business. My pride—”Nico stepped forward without hesitation, shielding Tulio and me behind him. His jaw was set like steel. His breathing was ragged, but didn’t flinch.

  • Mafia King's Contract Wife: The Angel of Revenge   Ch-29: Family

Miley's POV:“Nico? What's wrong…”He didn’t even hear me.One moment, we were celebrating with champagne, letting the first taste of victory dance on our tongues. And once the phone rang, he picked it up, went stone silent, and vanished.Without any explanation, let alone a goodbye, he had vanished from the living room like a ghost, with blood in his eyes. The front door slammed behind him. And all I knew, deep in my gut, bone-deep, was that something had happened to Tulio. That could be the only possible explanation for this.*****I tried to be patient, but there was no way I could sit still after five minutes. I had already tried to trace Tulio’s location using his smartwatch, but both his tablet and the watch were apparently at the coaching institute till now. Something was definitely wrong. Was the boy missing? I called Nico, but there was no answer. I called again, and it went straight to voicemail.Panic flared sharp in my chest. I wasn’t built for waiting, hoping or prayi
