Haunting nightmares

Hours Later...

Leo woke up sweating profusely with tears streaming down his face, he has been having reoccurring nightmares since that incident that took away his sleep.

For each passing day since eight years ago, he haven't gotten a peaceful sleep without waking up a few minutes later looking all sweaty and teary. He developed insomnia and finds it hard to sleep, when he does, he usually wake up with the same terrific dream.

Sighing, Leo wiped the sweat on his forehead and the tears slipping out of his eyes before standing up from the bed. He tied his rope, wore his flip-flops and made use of the door, entered the elevator and got downstairs. To the place he has been spending his nights for the past eight years, reading away the night till morning.

Everywhere was dead silent as everyone have gone to bed, only the chirping sounds of the night birds were singing in his ears.

The cold breeze of the night hit him as he opens the front door making his way to the cottage where the libr
