The high priestess glared at me with hatred in her eyes.
“Maybe once you were, but I’m the one that makes the decisions now and I will not let the temple be tainted by your presence.”
“Then how about you fetch our friend and we’ll be on our way.”
“Demons don’t have any friends.”
“Well, he has us,” Cassie spat out and put a hand on my shoulder.
“If you don’t let us in, we will use force to get inside.” Leah said.
The high priestess laughed at our faces.
“You may be a witch, but your magic is no match for me.”
