SASHA'S POVWe spent most of the day in bed, making out, making love, and making promises. The sun shone brightly outside inviting us to take part in the day, but I couldn’t muster the effort. I didn’t even go for a run that morning as Avery gripped me tightly while she slept afraid I would slip her grasp. I made us some bagels for breakfast and we ate them in bed. My first semester was incredibly busy. I had 5 classes and several of them wound up on the same day. I was a little overwhelmed to be stepping so far outside of my comfort zone. I was awoken when my inflatable mattress dipped to one side causing me to roll towards Sam who had lain next to me. He placed his heavy arm around my shoulder and pulled me towards him in a tight one armed hug.‘Happy Birthday, Aves’ he said quietly, giving my forehead a quick peck.‘Thank you!’ I smiled up at him before closing my eyes again.
