CHAPTER 3: REALIZATIONS.

LIANA'S POV.

'More. More!'

I pulled him closer, longing for more as we kissed. My eyes were shut, lost in the ecstasy of the moment. It was electrifying.

I felt such a strong connection with this stranger. His body was firm, giving me a sense of security. I could lie all day in his arms.

Overtaken by desire, he lifted me off the ground, holding my butt as I wrapped my legs around him. He lay me on the king-size bed and began kissing me on the neck again like a ravenous wolf.

With one hand, he reached into my dress. He slid my panties to the side, then I felt his finger sliding smoothly into my cunt. But I groaned mildly, surprised at the pain I felt.

'Fuck!'

I realized why it was so. At this time in my past reality, I was still a virgin. That's why I was this tight. And I gave my virginity to that scumbag, Carl, after we left the Orion after he trapped me with his proposal.

But somehow, I didn't mind giving it to this stranger. So far, everything felt unreal. But my time with him certainly felt real.

He thrusted his finger in and out in a rhythmic movement, making a squelching sound as my juices dripped.

This feeling was strange to my body, but in my head, this was familiar. That felt absurdly strange.

He pulled out his finger and looked at it, coated in my juices. He went ahead to wipe it off on the sheets and got off the bed.

'Is that it?' I looked awkwardly confused at him. All through, he gave no expression of delight whatsoever.

'Did I not please him? Should I have done more? Put in more effort?' I wondered, feeling grossly unsatisfied. My body craved more.

He went ahead and poured himself another glass of drink and gulped just a bit. "As long as everything goes according to plan, we'll both get what we want."

"Sure. Of course," I replied, forcing a smile as I tried to act normal. I hadn't the slightest idea what he was talking about.

I got off the bed as well and adjusted myself, placing the mask properly to hide my face.

"I'll uh... I should get going," I managed to say, then I walked to the door. This stranger didn't bother to bid me farewell as I made my way out of the suite.

His men didn't even bother to escort me to the elevator.

'What was that all about?' I wondered as I rode the elevator down to the first floor. I wanted to get the hell out of Dodge.

Just a few steps out of the elevator, I saw Carl walking the same hallway. Reflexively, I dashed into the nearest door beside me. Turned out it was a restroom. I quickly got into one of the toilets and locked the door, keeping my feet up.

Suddenly, the door banged open, causing me to jerk in fear. I had my hands across my mouth, scared that I was made.

The person paced up and down the restroom, then let out a scream. It was Carl. My heart raced terribly at this point.

"That fucking bitch!"

"Calm down, Carl! Don't get yourself worked up about her. She's not worth it," Vicky said.

'Shit. I'm screwed. They are both here.'

My fears had no borders. I was stuck in the same space with the folks who caused my death. Things weren't looking good at all. My body shook.

"Hey. Hey. Come here," Vicky said. Then I heard the sound of a zipper being undone.

"This should help," she said, and then I began hearing him moan softly.

"Feeling better now?" she asked. I didn't hear an answer, but I guess he probably nodded in acknowledgment.

"That bitch had better return and accept this ring. I won't lose this bet with the boys," Carl said, moaning in between as I heard a slurping sound.

It was evident that Vicky was giving him a blowjob.

'So this has been going on way before we met?' I asked myself in shock. 'And what bet is he talking about?'

"I wonder why you even agreed to such a demeaning thing. It is beneath you. Liana is beneath us. And you went ahead to propose to her just for the fun of it?"

"You sound jealous," Carl noted.

"Why the fuck would I be?" she scoffed.

"Then be a good girl and take my mind off of this temporal setback," Carl said, and the slurping continued. He moaned softly. Then the intensity of the slurping increased.

My eyes welled up with tears at that moment and I clenched my fists. I finally realized that I meant nothing to Carl. I was just the prize of a bet. A fucking bet! An intruder even.

No wonder the duo discarded me the moment they had no use for me. He treated me in accordance with his perception of me, which was unfortunately a reflection of what I projected - a naive and desperate girl, who didn't have the balls to stand up for herself.

"Come here," Carl said, and I heard Vicky giggling. Soon, I heard her moan.

"Oh, yeah. Take out all your frustration on me," she said.

Then I began hearing a loud tapping sound. He must have been fucking her from behind. It was fast and hard. Soon, Carl groaned as he cummed, most likely in her, like he did on the day I was murdered.

"Let's go," he said, and they walked out of the restroom. I was still squatting on the toilet as tears flowed down my face.

The pain of Carl's betrayal ate deep into my heart. I did my best to love that bastard, but he never truly did. Not even a bit.

I wiped my tears with the toilet paper, flushing it down the toilet, then I headed out. I made up my mind to leave the city for good.

Just as I was about to exit the complex, following a side exit, I was startled when I saw Carl emerge unexpectedly.

"Going somewhere, babe?"

My heart thumped. I got jittery. I unconsciously began walking backward. Some of his minions walked through the same door I followed, blocking me off from behind as well. There was nowhere to run.

"Did you think I couldn't sniff you out in the restroom? Or have you forgotten that I'm the werewolf Prince?" he said as he walked threateningly toward me.

"Stay away from me!" I snarled.

"I'm afraid I can't do that," he refuted. Then he grabbed my hand firmly. "So, here's what's going to happen. We'll go back inside, and you'll accept my proposal in front of everyone. And don't you dare embarrass me again!"

Carl's demeanor was stern. This was the real him.

"Okay then. It's showtime," he smiled, and dragged me along. I followed him helplessly. I couldn't save myself.

We got back to the conference hall and everyone's attention was turned toward us once again.

"I apologize for keeping everyone waiting. She was all up in her feelings. Who could blame her, right?" Carl said and the people laughed.

Then once again, he went on one knee, holding out the ring, pulling another stunt to ensnare me. From where I stood, it felt inescapable.

"Will you marry me, Liana?"

I stood there, looking at him. My lips gaped, about to say something when a commotion distracted us all.

Our eyes turned to the entrance of the conference hall as the doors broke open, and the guards were sent flying in. Huge men in suits stormed the place. Then, in came someone I couldn't forget in a hurry.

It was the stranger with whom I was alone with a while ago. His steps were graceful, his comportment intentional, exuding such confidence with a touch of pride in it.

His aura sent a wave of terror that made even the brave cower.

He walked over and stood in front of me. Carl held me by the wrist. I couldn't tell if he was out of fear, or if he was being protective of me.

We locked gazes at each other for a bit, saying nothing. Then he turned to Carl, looking stoically at him.

Carl tried putting on a brave front, but it was evident that he was terrified of who stood before him.

"If you value that puny hand of yours, you had better get it off her, now!" The stranger spoke calmly, but firmly also.

Carl hesitated for a bit, then he let go of my hand. The stranger took me by the hand and began leading me out, paying no mind to anyone else.

Suddenly, Alpha Roderick, Carl's father, emerged with the other members of the Moon council, and their guards as we got close to the door. My heart resumed racing the moment I sighted them.

"Well, well, well. I never thought I'd live to see the day. The exiled murderer is alive after all, huh?" Narnia, Alpha of the Silver Mount Pack remarked.

'Holy shit!'

My eyes widened as I quickly realized who the stranger was.

CHAPTER 134: IN THE WOLVES' DEN (1).LIANA'S POV. Prying eyes cast their gaze upon us as we drove in. The look on everyone's face connoted utter distress. The villa was definitely not at ease at the moment. Such occurrences were rare. The atmosphere was usually only so when the Alpha Supreme was genuinely pissed at a situation that seemed to have affected him personally, and he was in a foul mood; hence, everyone else would be uneasy. "I'm beginning to think we should have heeded Francisco's warning," I blurted. "We're here now. There's no turning back. We'll leave only when you've gotten what you came here for," Annie said.I drew strength from her resolve when I should have been the one encouraging her, having brought her into this messy situation. I parked the car at the available space I found. Turning off the ignition, we unfastened our seatbelts."You got this," Annie smiled at me. I smiled back at her, then we alighted from the car. The prying eyes finally had a clearer v

CHAPTER 133: NO TURNING BACK.LIANA'S POV. The drive to the Alpha's villa was quiet. I didn't utter a word to Annie, and we had driven for about fifteen minutes. "Having second thoughts about going there?" Annie asked. But I kept quiet, unable to provide an answer."You know, there's nothing wrong if you're feeling like that, though. You can still turn back," Annie counselled."Despite how determined I was to go confront Roderick Vanderholt about the truth, for some reason, whenever I picture myself standing before him, I find my resolve wavering. I get weak.""And it is absolutely okay to feel that way. " We can still head back," Annie said."It is not like I dread going there. Well, that's not entirely true, anyway. And that is because where I am returning to has held some level of sentiment to me — That was home to me," I responded, beginning with this. "I grew up there. The bulk of my memories from childhood were made there. And despite how badly I was treated, that place was s

CHAPTER 132: NEGOTIATIONS.LIANA'S POV."So, you're really gonna confront him, this early in the morning, huh?" Annie asked. She was seated on the bed, still wearing the clothes she slept in the previous night. It wasn't long ago she had woken up from a brief slumber that came upon her after I left for the training facility. Even though the way she spoke was casual, she was serious. I looked at myself in the mirror. My demeanor was cold, my resolve firm. And without any sense of fear of what I was about to do, I replied, "Mm-hmm. I shall go there and return." Annie sighed. "In that case, I am going with you."Annie began getting off the bed. "No. You're not coming!" I refrained her. "This is my problem, and I'll take care of it by myself."Annie got up and walked up to me, then she took my hand. "When it was my business, you didn't stay away. You got involved. You were there with me, all the way that dimensional journey and every other thing that happened. Now, it's my turn to do

CHAPTER 131: DEBBIE TOO?LIANA'S POV. I was done from the underground training facility after my sparring session with Trevor. He also didn't do anything else after that. We both left the facility and headed to the main house. We weren't as sweaty as earlier since we took a little while to talk.We both said nothing to the other while we headed there. My mind was fixed on one thing, and one thing only: My confrontation with Roderick. I was hell-bent on meeting him face to face, unperturbed by the prospect of danger when I got there. As we were about to walk into the house, I caught sight of Debbie. I saw her turning at the corner of the building. I didn't know where she was headed, though. But immediately, a thought hit me."Please, excuse me," I requested of Trevor."Uh, sure," he shrugged in agreement. His brow was slightly furrowed in confusion, though. He must have wondered what I was going over there to do. Turning the corner as well, I found Debbie headed toward a very beaut

  • Marked By The Alpha Who Never Was    CRAZY MORNING.

CHAPTER 130: CRAZY MORNING.Creeping, Vicky tip-toed her way out of Carl's room. They had spent the night together. He was still asleep when she left. She usually left his room earlier than that, but for some reason, she overslept, not responding to the alarm she had set to wake her up early. She had taken a couple of steps when she was stunned when she ran into Francisco. "Vicky.""Francisco! Hi," she chuckled nervously. "What are you doing out so early? It's the weekend. You usually stay in your room for hours till you're called upon to go have breakfast," Francisco inquired."Well, I needed to come get something, Carl. I thought he had it all along, but it turns out that he doesn't. What a waste it was coming here," Vicky replied, scoffing. "Well, such happens," Francisco commented. "Anyway, I'd better go take care of things. Please, excuse me." He bowed and walked past Vicky. She sighed in relief and continued back to her room. Gradually, everyone at the Alpha's villa was up

  • Marked By The Alpha Who Never Was    NOT THE GIRL I WAS.

CHAPTER 129: NOT THE GIRL I WAS.LIANA'S POV.I keenly observed Trevor, trying to assess him to find any weak spots I could easily identify and capitalize on — all instincts I never expressed nor experienced before. I concluded that it must have been the wolf in me, being predatory. But Trevor gave no obvious opening. He just stood seemingly carelessly, so I didn't know where to start from. Rather than overthinking it, I lunged at Trevor, throwing punches. He skillfully evaded them, seemingly not dissipating much energy. It was very annoying to have him evade my attacks in that manner. While all that was happening, I studied his movements. It was as though my brain was split in two. I found myself attacking, and at the same time studying my opponent — Another thing I never knew I was capable of.'Bingo!' I found my opening. A mild smirk crept up my face at that point. While Trevor dodged my attacks, I took note of his footwork. So after I attacked above, throwing punches, making su
