Kelly was mad at Dexter for nearly damaging his eardrum and trying to snatch the phone. However, Kelly didn't react because he knew Dexter only wanted to speak to his father. It would have been better if he had asked nicely.

Turning his back against Kelly, Dexter spoke over the phone. “I just heard you say my father is there with you. Can you be kind enough to pass the phone to him? I must have a conversation with him this minute,”

No voice was heard over the phone even though the call was still on.

“Ciara, are you deaf?

You did hear me, didn't you? I just told you I need to speak to my father. Why are you not saying anything?” Dexter sparked outrageously.

Not even the pressure from his voice was enough to make Ciara speak up. She pretended as though she weren't on the phone with anyone.

“Why is your daughter not speaking to me? Has she suddenly gone deaf?” Dexter channeled his frustration at Kelly, who didn't even offend him for a second.

“Like seriously?

You are going to get mad at me for what my daughter did to you? Gosh! You are so despicable,” Kelly nodded in response and sat down on the sofa.

Dexter became infuriated. As he made a move to cause a conflict between himself and Kelly, he heard a ferocious voice over the phone, forcing him to abolish his dangerous agenda toward Kelly.

“Dad, are you speaking?” Dexter asked. The voice sounded too deep to be Ciara's

“Were you going to hurt my friend? How did you turn out to become a beast?” George questioned Dexter as he went straight to the point.

“I don't know what you're talking about, Dad. You are not here with me. How would you know if I wanted to hurt him?” Dexter denied it immediately without having to think about his response.

George sighed over the phone. “Dexter, I am your father. I know a lot about you that you are not even aware of, so don't you dare lie to me,”

“Like seriously, Dad.

Are we going to do this right now? I know you don't trust me. So what's the point of telling you the truth? You are not going to believe me anyway,”

“Suit yourself, son.

I am not interested In what you have to say in your defense,” George made a move to change the topic immediately. He knew for sure that arguing with Dexter wasn't going to yield any positive result.

“I believe my excellent friend, Kelly, told you something, didn't you?” George started the main discourse.

Kelly licked his lips and smiled at Kelly. This was the moment he's been waiting for. “Yes, he did.”

“And why haven't you shown up yet? I can't believe you will be this calm after being told that I suffered a panic attack”.

“That's because I got my conditions. You don't expect me to just show up at the hospital, do you?” Dexter laughed.

“Is this a prank?

Why am I even asking? Of course, it's a joke. I don't want to believe you are being serious with me right now,”

“Dad!” Dexter interrupted George with a commanding tone. This time, he stopped laughing and decided to get serious.

“If you want me to come over to take you to the hospital and sign the stupid consent form, then you must unfreeze my bank and return every damn thing you took from me because I refused to get married to Ciara,” Dexter demanded.

“You are sick.

Pass the phone to my friend. I need to speak with him,” George ordered. He wasn't even paying attention to Dexter's outrageous demand.

“I am not passing the phone to anyone,” Dexter blatantly refused.

“Are you even listening to me right now? Because it's damn obvious that you are not.”

“Of course, I heard you the first time, you son of a bitch. There's no way I'm accepting your demand,” George clarified it.

“Then you should as well get ready to be kicked out of the hospital for good because there's no way I'm gonna show up there and put my signature on some useless consent form,” Dexter vowed.

Out of frustration, he ended the call and tossed the phone on the couch. Luckily for Kelly, the phone didn't sustain any damage.

Kelly didn't get mad at Dexter for tossing his phone on the sofa. Rather, he was grateful that his phone didn't suffer any damage.

As Kelly picked up the phone, the first call he received came from George. This time, George ensured that he called personally because he was certain that Kelly was going to answer the phone.

"Are you still with him?” George asked. He sounded so calm, as though he were ready to meet the demands of Dexter.

“Yes. He's currently getting drenched in liquor,” Kelly answered.

"Kindly pass the phone to him.

I've got something to say to him,' George begged. His voice sounded so low. Kelly could barely hear what he was talking about.

“Pass the phone to whom?

Sorry, I may have to decline.

He almost smashed my phone against the wall the last time I passed the phone to him. I might not be lucky this time,”

“Kelly, please do this for me.

Just for old-time's sake. I am Dexter's father and can boldly say Dexter is a big jerk. Do I have a choice? Of course not! The doctor is threatening to kick me out. If you do think I'm lying, call your daughter and ask her,” George buttressed.

Kelly witnessed another version of his friend. If it wasn't for the voice, Kelly would have argued that George wasn't the one speaking.

“Fine! I will pass the phone to him.

But if he doesn't respond to me, I will walk away from your house and never return. This is not even a joke. I meant every damn word I said. Do we have a deal?” Kelly issued the last warning to George.

It wasn't his intention to put George in that complicated situation. However, Dexter has stepped on his toes a thousand times, hence unlocking his bad side.

“We have a deal,”

Without grudges, George accepted Kelly's demand.

"What are you scared of? I don't bite. Come on, take the envelope from me and stop acting like a baby already. An officer like you shouldn't be fidgeting. Have you forgotten what I told you about being courageous? You never can tell, it might be your letter of promotion," Lucas said. Romeo saw that as a trick and refused to fall for it. Without hesitation, he went on his knees immediately and pleaded for Lucas forgiveness. "I am sorry for the things I did to you. None of them were intentional. I've learned my lessons now. Please, I don't want to end up like Tony. I deserve a second chance,"The dismissal of Tony still lives rent-free in Romeo's head like a movie. He wouldn't want his situation to be like that. "You don't want to end up like Tony, right? That's quite ambitious if you ask me," Lucas scoffed."I don't know what you are talking about. I can't recall what happened to Tony. Can you please remind me?" "You dismissed him because of Dexter Cooper, sir. Not just that, he als

"He needs to reach out to his Father. His Father is not even aware that he's been arrested," Romeo pleaded. He was ready to scrub both knees on the tiled floor just to prove how serious he was. "Now this is getting more serious than I expected. How much did Dexter pay you to do this for him? Because I mean, you can't go this for a total stranger you know nothing about," Rhoda confronted Romeo with the disturbing question."Excuse me?" Romeo fumed. "What do you take me for? Do you think I'm one of those hungry-looking cops out there who would sell their dignity for money?" "Perhaps, she might be right. No one knows the reason you are doing this," A masculine voice interrupted them from close range. The voice sounded like Lucas. Where Romeo was, he prayed silently and wished it wasn't Lucas. Lucas, so far, has proved to be Romeo's greatest fear ever. He wasn't even confident enough to look into Lucas' eyes and speak to him directly, let alone confront him. "Good evening, Boss. You ar

  • Married To My Enemy; Loved By His Brother   The Dialogue

"I am listening to you Romeo. Since you got here, you haven't said anything worthy of my attention. I just hope I am not wasting my time with you? Because I was doing something significant before you showed up," Rhoda raised the concern. What Rhoda was concerned about was Romeo's lack of confidence. She didn't know him to be this shaky to the extent where he could barely speak fluently to save his life."Of course not. I assure you, you're not gonna regret having this conversation with me, and I am not even kidding," Romeo created the assurance. He paused afterward. Rhoda signaled him to speak further, but he missed the sign. Romeo made it seem like that both placed a bet on the last person to hold his breath for too long."What the fuck do you think you are doing? You've been quiet for some time now. I should have known that you were just wasting my time. What exactly do you want me to do for you? And I do hope it's something I can handle?" Rhoda asked for clarification. Romeo's a

But what was he going to do about it? Absolutely nothing! He was willing to endure the present struggle and hope for a better tomorrow. Not even his beloved Father or late mother.Jaguar treated Dexter as though Dexter were his biological son. It was an ugly experience for Dexter. He would give up an arm to forget about it. "Take a look at these bunch of keys. What do they mean to you? Do they ring a bell to you, or do you want me to spell it out so you would understand perfectly well what I am talking about?" Romeo asked, flashing the keys to the cell across Dexter's face. "They're the keys to y

"Welcome to your new cell, Dexter Cooper. I hope you do like it here. What the heck am I saying? Surely, are going to love it. I mean, it's surely better than your Father's palatial mansion, isn't it?" Romeo teased Dexter with a burst of wicked laughter after they arrived at a new cell. Looking at it alone, Dexter hated it. He chose not to say a word about it to avoid getting on Romeo's nerves. . It turns out that the former cell was more attractive and conducive than the new one Romeo brought Dexter to. The only difference there was Jaguar and his boys that made life a living hell for Dexter. Dexter spent lots of time scrutinizing in his new home. He was filled with regret and wished he hadn't wished for a transfer. But the thought of being beaten to death by Jaguar still scares him to death. "What are you going to say about this?
