Elliot POV

The damp sand moved under my feet, the cold ocean water lapping at my ankles, but my skin felt electric where Sebastian's broad hand rested against my stomach.

His palm remained flat over my sweater. He didn't move; he didn't blink. The roar of the waves hitting the cliff rocks seemed to drop to a whisper.

Through the mark on my neck, his energy flared incredibly hot and bright, his scent wrapping around us so thick it blocked out the sea salt.

"Twins, Elliot?" Sebastian whispered, h

Elliot POVThe cool air of the community arena hit my face as the double glass doors swung open. The stands were packed to the top rows, parents holding thermos cups, young kids in oversized team jerseys, and local fans filling every wooden bench. Sunlight streamed through the high clerestory windows, catching the light mist rising off the freshly flooded ice.I wrapped my dark cashmere coat tighter around my shoulders, my fingers tracing the smooth platinum band on my left hand.Beside me, Sebastian walked with steady steps, his dark wool coat unbuttoned over a simple black sweater. In his broad arms, he held our ten-year-old younger twins, Maya and Jack, both bundled in bright green scarves. Maya held a small paper flag with a silver number twenty-two printed on the front, her legs kicking happily against Sebastian's hip.Behind us, a loud laugh echoed up the wooden stairs as my parents and Sebastian’s parents walked side by side, carrying bags of fresh popcorn and warm pretzels."R

Elliot POVThe glass case on the wall reflected the glow of the desk lamp.I stood in the center of my study wearing a dark grey linen robe, my fingers brushing the cool glass pane protecting my retired Toronto Wolves jersey trophy. Next to it sat my championship ring from our season, its diamonds catching the soft yellow light.Framed photos covered the wood paneling behind my desk. In the center hung a picture from our wedding on the cliff, Sebastian holding my waist, his eyes fixed on my face while the ocean sparkled behind us. To the right sat the photo from center ice with Leo clutching Sebastian’s jersey patch while thousands of fans cheered in the rafters.Every battle was over. The suppressants, the court dates, the hidden hotel rooms and the threats were completely gone.I let my eyes move from one picture to another, thinking about the moments they captured. None of those milestones had come easy. Every happy face had been earned through sacrifice, hope and nights where we w

  • Married to My Rival Alpha(MM Romance)   Chapter 151: Passing the Torch

Sebastian POVThe heavy oak doors of my study sat half-open.Late afternoon sun streamed through the wide bay windows, casting long golden rectangles across the polished hardwood floor. A large, velvet-lined mahogany display case rested on the central table, its glass lid pulled back.I held my navy Los Angeles Kings jersey in both hands. The fabric felt familiar under my palms, heavy, slightly stiff around the stitched white numbers, smelling faintly of arena laundry detergent and cold ice. The gold captain’s "C" patch sat prominent over the left breast, slightly frayed at the edges from hits against the glass.Fifteen years of my life lived inside this sweater, fifteen years of early morning skates, broken ribs, bloody knuckles, and championship runs.I folded the sleeves inward with deliberate care, setting the jersey flat inside the velvet lining. Next to it, I placed my padded gloves and my gold championship ring from our final series against Toronto.Footsteps stopped near the t

Sebastian POVI didn't care about the sand clinging to my knees or the cold ocean water soaking my trousers.I hooked my arms under Elliot’s thighs, lifting him from the beach in one powerful motion and pulling his body close against my chest. He let out a breathless gasp, his arms wrapping tightly around my neck as his feet cleared the sand."Sebastian!" Elliot laughed, his hazel eyes wide as he looked down at me.I held him flush against my ribs, my broad hands locking behind his back to support his weight. My scent- cedarwood, pine, and absolute territorial warmth- enveloped us completely."Four of them, baby," I said, my voice low, my lips pressing against his throat right over our mark. "Four.""Four," Elliot whispered, his cheek resting against my jaw. "You're going to have an entire starting line on the ice in a few years, hubby.""I don't care about the ice," I said, my jaw setting with absolute certainty. "I care about this family. I will expand our holdings by winter. No one

Sebastian whispered, his voice rough. "You're sure?"I set my hand over his knuckles, my thumb moving over his wedding ring. "The private medical report came through right before lunch, hubby," I said, my voice steady against the wind. "Double embryos. Three weeks along. The estate doctor verified the scan himself."A long, shaky breath escaped his chest. The stoic captain who had navigated thirty-two hockey teams, federal auditors, and corrupt league executives looked completely undone under the setting sun."Four o

Sebastian POVThe sun hung low over the Pacific, painting the sky in deep shades of orange and violet. The tide had receded, leaving the sand wet and firm under my bare feet, cool ocean water washing over my toes.I held Elliot’s hand, my fingers locked tightly through his.He had removed his shoes near the wooden stairs of the cliff path, rolling his dark trousers up at his ankles. His black sweater hung loose over his shoulders, his skin clear and glowing in the evening light.High above us, set into the rock face, the estate lights flickered on one by one, reflecting off the water of the upper terrace pool."You've been quiet since lunch, baby," I observed, my thumb moving over his platinum band.Elliot looked toward the horizon where the dark blue water met the sky. "Just thinking, hubby.""About the draft?" I asked. "Noah's already set up in the weight room with Nathan.""Not about the draft," Elliot replied, a soft, secret smile playing on his lips. There was a distinct grace su

Elliot POV There were many things I hated about Sebastian Wolfe, but the worst was the way he made silence feel crowded. The moment he turned that lock, the air in the empty room changed, thickening and pressing until every breath I took felt like I was breathing him in. I stood beside my locker i

Elliot POV I had learned a long time ago not to want things that could be taken. Hockey was the one exception I had allowed myself. I spent six years making sure no one ever found out why it cost me more than it cost anyone else. The arena was loud enough to shake the bones in my body. I could hea

Elliot POV The clock on the kitchen island read 5:45 AM. The blue numbers glared at me from across the marble counter. I hadn’t slept all night. Elliot POV The world went silent.Sebastian knew. Maybe not everything, but enough. It was there in the sudden, rigid stillness of his body as he held me against his chest, and in the way the air between us shifted from dangerous curiosity to something stark and unyielding. He had stopped playing.
