CHAPTER 8

Emma opened the papers the moment Blake left. Her heart keep sinking in distress from all Blake said to her wishing for it not to be true.

But as she opened the papers in front of her, her chest tightened. She suddenly felt hard to breath.

She couldn't stop the tears descending from her eyes like a falling rain as she read the papers.

CONSENSUAL AGREEMENT OF EMMELINE BRYSON'S OWNERSHIP BETWEEN PARTY A AND B.

  1. party A is to pay the sum of five hundred million dollars to party B.

  2. party A is the sole owner of party B and so, he has the right to make decisions for her.

  3. Party B will severe all the ties with her family after the marriage.

  4. Party A can choose to allow party B further her education and vise versa.

  5. Party B must abide by the rules made by party A and be obedient to her new owner.

Emma threw the papers away, she began feeling a strong migraine from how hard she has been crying.

She couldn't continue reading it and so she kept it away from her.

Her heart was aching, she felt a pang of burn in her chest accompanied by a rhythmic migraine.

Her Dad sold her in truth. What was he thinking of her? A commodity?

He did sell her for a huge amount of money and left her in dilemma. He left her to face the trauma alone.

Did he hate her that much? Even if they were going through a financial crisis, does it have to result in him trading her life for money?

She tried as much as she could to stop the sobs. She felt weak from the things that are happening to her and around her.

After selling her off, Emma is becoming traumatized. Blake is now her owner, there is nothing she can do about it.

She have to be his servant and do whatever he wants.

She is more of a slave than his wife and slaves will never go against their masters to avoid being punished or killed in a brutal way.

She wished she could see her Dad to ask him the questions she have no answers to.

Emma's mind became foggy to the extent of her doubting wheher Mr Bryson is her Dad or not.

What wrong did she commit to deserve this type of ill-fated life?

Her eyes were red, swollen and puffy. She placed her head on the table with her tears dried on her cheeks and slept off wishing all this could be a dream.

  Half an hour later....

Blake walked down the stairs in a tastefully elegant and domineering manner.

He was clad in a simple english wear still, he managed to remain coldly handsome.

Not long ago, he had put a call across to his best friend Ryan to meet up with him in their favourite bar. Ryan has been Blake's best friend since kindergarten.

They went to the same elementary school, high school and college together.

As he ambled towards the living room, his eyes settled on the sleeping figure of Emma.

He nose crunched up with his eyebrow raised.

How can she fall asleep when there are works for her to do in the house?

Instead of tapping her to wake up, Blake kicked her chair hard causing her to stumbled from it to the floor.

Emma groaned, her migraine intensified and her vision a little bit blurry.

"Who gave you the right to sleep on duty? Are you done with your chores for today? You haven't even taken my plates back to the kitchen and you dared to sleep?"

He asked in combustion. She managed to stand on her feet upon hearing his voice.

The only thing that came to her mind was an apology but she stayed mute after remembering what transpired between them this morning.

Maybe the slap added to her pain. Emma bowed her head, she quickly went for the plates and picked them.

"I do not want to come back and meet here this tattered, that's why you are here. Do you understand?" He asked.

Emma bit her lips in agitation while nodding her head.

  "Yes"

Blake stepped out of the room without furthering their conversation.

He entered into his black tinted Audi and drove off in full speed.

The bar is a ten minutes drive from his mansion, it didn't take him a lot of time to arrive there.

Just like always, the bar was empty aside Ryan seated at the far end of it.

Blake always book the entire bar whenever he is coming here with Ryan.

The most he hates is noise, he hates being around people. Because to him, they are nothing but nuisance.

Ryan waved childishly at him, Blake sauntered towards him and draws a chair out for himself.

"What kept you for so long? I have been waiting for ages. You are always late when it comes to me or is it because of your new wife?"

Ryan asked almost in a whisper which made Blake roll his eyes at his playfulness.

The both are two opposite people that acts entirely different from one another.

A lot of people believe that best friends have the same personalities but it is definitely with Blake and Ryan.

Blake is cold, heartless, rude and self-centered while Ryan is friendly, kind and a good company and a big flirt yet, the two remained friends because they understand each other.

"Stop talking nonsense" Blake said to him. Ryan gasped dramatically.

"Are you saying that what I just said is nonsense? You just be kidding me"

  He replied hitting the table.

Blake was about saying something when the waitress came to their table.

"Welcome Sirs please what can I get for you?" The Blondie asked politely.

"How about we start from you? How much for a night?" Ryan spoke up.

The waitress flushed in embarrassment, her cheeks heat up and her face turned scarlet red.

She didn't know how exactly to react, this male gods are the most handsome and are ranking the most successful business man and most popular actor.

Anyone will be excited for having the chance to meet either of them in person and one of them is being flirty with her right now.

Blake glared at him, Ryan shrugged his shoulders in return with a playful grin on his face.

"Vodka, give us vodka" Blake said waving his hand dismissingly.

"Yes Sir" she bowed and left.

Blake gave Ryan a hard punch, he winced throwing daggers at his best friend.

"Why did you do that? The chic is hot, shouldn't I ask her for a night? That's not too much to ask or is it?" Ryan asked while Blake snorted in response.

"I am sorry I couldn't make it to your wedding yesterday, my shoot ended very late" he apologized.

Blake only nodded his head, yesterday's activity was nothing important.

It was just an act and that's it.

"So how's my sister in-law like? Is she beautiful?" He asked.

"Don't ask stupid questions Ryan" Blake replied slightly angry. His said wife is the last person he wants to think of right now.

"She might be different from others dude, why the hate?" Ryan asked.

Blake mumbled incoherent words and cuss under his breath.

"What makes her different huh? She was damn sold to me and why? Simply because of my money"

Blake replied angrily, his hands balled up in a fist as he clenched his jaw.

People like Emma and her family who are after money deserves no love, she was sold to him because she wanted an easy way to achieve wealth.

  He despise her so much.

Just why did his father suggest the darn agreement in the first place?
