CHAPTER 9

Ryan raised his hands up in surrender seeing how annoyed Blake was becoming because of his wife.

"Dude, I didn't say anything infuriating just yet. You might not like her but I'd want to meet her anyways, who knows, she might be the one for me"

He said playfully. Blake rolled his eyes, their drinks were brought by another bartender who happens to be a mail.

Ryan cussed inwardly while Blake popped up the vodka immediately pouring it in his cup and gulped down everything.

"Wow, easy tiger" Ryan said with a raised eyebrow.

"Shut up and drink, stop disturbing me" he replied.

  Ryan laughed in response.

"You will be needing my help very soon" he said.

He knows Blake has zero tolerance for alcohol, he doesn't also have to take thorns of bottles before he gets drunk.

"Do you think I can't go home on my own?" Blake asked

"Well no because I do not want my best friend to crash into a tree or another car and die, I still love you with your sucking attitude" Ryan croaked.

Instead of replying, Blake chose to continue his drink. They sat in a comfortable silence just like always.

The two need not to talk about a lot of things. Ryan mostly is the one that have things to say, just on cue, he spoke up.

"I thought I was going to die before I could go on with the stupid role I was given yesterday" he dramatized.

  "What role were you given?"

"The role of a servant who fell in love with the boss' daughter" he mentioned.

Blake raised a brow at him. Knowing how Ryan loves disturbing him with talks, he knows this is also one of his plans to get him to say something.

"What's wrong with it? You've acted a role worse than that" he reminded with a chuckle while Ryan's face reddened.

Ryan scratched the back of his head, the role is embarrassing to say but then, one has to make money to survive.

He was about speaking up when Blake's phone rang. He checked the caller ID to see that it was his secretary.

  "Sir, good morning Sir"

"Why did you call?" He asked arrogantly.

"There's a slight problem Sir, Mr Cole made away with some money from the company, I have been trying to reach but it has been effortless. I am really sorry I let this happen Sir"

Blake's jaw tightened, his eyes became red from anger, the amount of which people are getting on his nerves this days annoys him.

"Track down his location, what the hell have you been doing and why are you just informing me now?" He yelled angrily.

Mr Cole happens to be his financial secretary and he dared to run off with his money? He does have a death wish, Blake will make sure that comes true.

  "I am sorry Sir"

"Get to work immediately and also make sure he doesn't flee the country"

  "Yes Sir"

Blake ended the call in fury. His eyes were dark, he tightly balled his fist and hit the table loudly.

Both the bottles and the glasses broke into pieces from the hard hit on the table.

"What happened? What was the call about?" Ryan asked.

"That nincompoop ran off with my money, I will make sure I cut off his legs and make him go through excruciating pain for a week before slicing his throat open"

Blake picked up his car keys then stood up.

  "Calm down Blake" Ryan advised.

"I am leaving" Blake announced. He needed to take care of the situation at hand immediately. Only when it is done will he be satisfied.

"I will come with you" Ryan announced. Blake dropped a good amount of money on the table to make up for the damage and the drinks then left.

They both entered his car with Ryan volunteering to drive.

When ever they meet up to have a drink or more, Ryan doesn't come with his car because he knows that his best friend will be a wreck at the end of the day.

At least, no matter how many drinks he has, he can still hold it in tight.

"Where are we going?" He asked.

"The office" Blake replied monotonously as he phone his boys giving them the instruction of finding Mr Cole within a certain period of time.

After about an hour, they arrived at the company. Ryan parked the car in the garage.

It's Sunday, they weren't people around aside the securities.

They came down, Blake entered into his private elevator while Ryan followed suit.

He might explode if he keeps containing his anger this way.

Blake's jaw keeps clenching and unclenching. He was beyond infuriated, he couldn't hold in the rage boiling up in him.

He wouldn't spare that man if he gets a grip on him.

He must have some guts to have messed with him.

Mr Cole has been working with him for two years, he should be aware of the fact that everyone who messed with Blake Campbell never survived it.

To avoid this from happening, Blake pays all his employees handsomely. Why would he need to steal from him?

Blake opened the door of his office, he brought out all his employees' files to search for that of Mr Cole's.

Ryan tensed knowing what his best friend was about doing.

"What are you doing Blake?" He queried.

"Searching for his file, I need his information to find him. I won't spare any of his family members anyways"

Blake replied with finality. There is nothing that matters to him, he doesn't care if he kills everyone. Some deserves nothing but death.

Ryan stood up, he took a glass of water from the freezer in the office and gulped down everything.

"I can help you locate him but do we have to get his family involved?" He asked. Blake hissed in return.

"You do not want me to send you out of here right?" Blaked questioned and Ryan shook his head with a grin on his face.

Blake always threatens to send him away when issues like this arises because he knows Ryan being here will change his mind from doing whatever he wanted to do before.

Sometimes, he wonder why they are different from one another. Weren't they supposed to share similar personality?

It was easy to locate Mr Cole's file since he was among the last people he employed in the last two years.

He is married with three kids. Blake also got his house address and sent it to his men to bring them right away.

Even if they end up not finding him, he will turn up after knowing that his family will be killed.

That's one of Blake's strategies but he isn't promising not to hurt them too.

He will leash his anger on them if they are brought before him.

Blake stood up in fury, he kicked his desk and all his books and papers came flying to the floor while Ryan stared at him with a drink in his hand.

Blake has a bad temper only him understands.

There is nothing he can do to help the situation, he can only prevent the family from being badly hurt when they will be brought here before Cole appears.

That's the least he can do. The beeping of Blake's phone brought him out of his trance.

Blake took the phone from his desk, he swipe right to the green button and in no time, a voices were heard in the background.

"We've got them boss", where should we take bring them?" One of his men asked.

"Company, to my company" he replied sharply and ended the call.

An evil smile appeared on his face followed by a chuckle then an expressionless face.

Blake hates it when people try to outsmart him, they all know who he is yet the chose to mess with her.

"Did they find him?" Ryan asked curiously.

"Of course not, I told you I'd have his family first to make him show up. I will find him soon" he replied.

A loud hon was heard from downstairs, it didn't take the two a lot of time to blend in on whose arrival that is.

Blake stood up from his desk striding towards the window and just like he thought, he saw some people being dragged into his office.

This is not the first time this is happening anyways. Who says offices are meant for just business?

His office door was opened minutes later with a woman and her three kids being thrown inside.

"How can he be so stupid to have left his family behind? Was he planning on running away alone? What insolence!"

Ryan stared at the kids, the eldest among them should be around the age of eighteen. He glanced at Blake then at them with a panic expression.

Blake bent down to the level of the woman who looked like she has seen a ghost.

"I do not need to introduce myself now do I?" He whispered into the woman's ear. She shook her head in agreement with sweat breaking away from her body.

His eyes snapped in the three kids direction, a girl and two boys.

The fake smile on Blake's face vanished immediately masking his face with a cold expression once again.

He stood up, arranged his suit while looking around until his eyes met with that of his scary looking men.

"The conference room has enough chairs there, take them away and tie them up. I do not care how old the kids are, torture them till I say otherwise. Do you understand?" He screamed.
