Chapter 60

Lucy's pov;

The next morning at 8am, I woke up feeling like someone had just dumped a bucket of ice water on me. It was the kind of cold you could see your breath in the air. My skin felt clammy and I was shivering uncontrollably. I opened my eyes and saw that it wasn’t the first time that something like this had happened. I was always cold in the winter months. It was one thing I’d never gotten used to. The winters were hard for me. They made my body go numb from the inside out and sometimes even my toes and fingertips froze over.

When I looked at my other side of the bed, snowball wasn't there. Where did he go? I tried to get up from the bed but couldn't move. Something was blocking me, restricting my movements.
