SEE YOU SOON

The cars stopped in front of the dilapidated four storey building. The door opened and he stepped out of the car wearing his sunglasses. He took off his sunglasses and scanned his eyes around the neighborhood where a few people could be seen carrying out their daily activities. He looked up at the roof of the building with his palm shielding his eyes from the burning sun.

He let out a sigh and turned to the men who were standing beside him.

“Um, I’ll go up there alone. Just be on alert in case anything should go wrong,” he said and they all nodded.

He wore his sunglasses and proceeded to the stairs of the building. He could feel his heart racing fast as he climbed up the old dirty stairs which seemed to be out of use for ages. He wondered what she would be doing in such a place. The thought of seeing her again frightened him and he took a deep breath as he finally reached the rooftop.
