Chapter Thirty Five

“Knock…knock…knock” Lucy knocked on the door gently and waited patiently

She glance over at Alex who was seated in the car waiting for her and sighed out desperately

She didn’t want to go on with this, but she has no other option either

Whatever Alex said to her earlier at the cemetery still lingered in her mind. And so many questions piled up in her brain

She tried asking Alex why he believes strongly her father is the cause of his parent’s death. But he didn’t allow her

He just kept on pleading with her to bring him to Mrs. Hayes’ house. And now they’re here, but there seemed to be no one around

Lucy knocked on the door several times again. But the result still remained the same. No one showed up at the door

Lucy turned to look at Alex and shook her head slightly with worry

With this, Alex quickly got out of the car and joined Lucy up there. He also knocked on the door several times and went round to see if he could find anyone nearby

After confirming there was really no one around
