Willow’s POV

Logan stood there, his back turned to me as he watched Chloe drive off.

I felt bad even if I had not done anything but it felt like somehow this was my fault.

My phone suddenly felt heavy in my hand.

Logan finally turned around and ran a hand through his hair.

"I am so sorry you had to witness that. She isn’t normally like that"

“You don’t have to apologise” I said as I shook my head

"You should go after her. You should explain that there is nothing between us so she does

Willow’s POVIt was from Enchantia. I recognized the scent.“I know where this is from” I reached out and the moment my hand touched the cold iron metal, my eyes shut close, I felt a strange wind and my head flew back with a force I couldn’t control. I felt a tremor in my bones and then I saw it.The place was white at first and then it became clear. I was back in Enchantia. In the lab the king had shown us. The king was there too, holding a trap just like the one here.“We just need to catch one wolf” the king said, handing the trap over to a man dressed in black. The man wanted to speak but before he could, my eyes opened up and a loud gasp escaped me as I tried to breathe.I clutched my chest and bent forward to get my bearings. What the heck was that?Did I just see a vision?I felt hands on my shoulder, grounding me.“What happened? You looked like you were having a seizure”Lucas’s voice sounded miles away, distorted by the ringing in my ears. His grip on my shoulders was fir

  • His Brother's Fated Mate   Something In The Woods

Willow’s POVI woke up the next day feeling very refreshed. Skylar was happy too. I had a nice time at the party after Conrad left, I gave Mia her birthday gift, ate a lot and then Julian arrived. Mia was so happy to see him. She made him dance with her and then they disappeared from the party for a while.I have no idea where they went off to but I know Mia would tell me all about it today. I stood up from my bed and looked out the window. It was still pretty dark. Skylar was energized. A good time for a run. I put on a pair of running shoes and changed into something comfortable to go outside. The wind outside felt amazing against my skin. I had never run so fast. The houses blurred past me until they turned to trees. The smell of nature always enticed Skylar. I could feel her wanting to come out but I had to keep her on a leash.“Let me out” I heard her muffle inside of me. “Not now, not here, please” I begged. Transforming was going to leave me naked If I transformed back and

  • His Brother's Fated Mate   The Party

Willow’s POV It took a long time but Mia was finally ready. I could already hear the music from the living room. People were already arriving. Mia was my only friend but I was not her only friend. She had other friends from the market, from middle school and from the time she was in the school band. We stepped out of the bedroom and made our way to the top of the stairs. As soon as our feet hit the first step, the loud, bumping music suddenly slowed down to a soft rhythm. Every single head in the room turned to look up at us. I froze for a second. There were so many people packed into the house. Someone must have spread the word around school because even if Mia had other friends, she definitely did not have this many friends. A loud cheer erupted from the crowd for the birthday girl. People started clapping and whistling. Mia soaked it all in with a massive grin and walked down the rest of the stairs to join the fun. I followed closely behind her, but the moment we reached the bo

She isn’t normally like that" “You don’t have to apologise” I said as I shook my head "You should go after her. You should explain that there is nothing between us so she doesn't stay mad when there is nothing" Logan stepped closer, his gaze dropping to mine. His eyes was dark as they searched my face. "Is there really nothing?” I gave him a look of pure disbelief. I felt a flutter in my chest at his tone, but I pushed it down. "Are you serious right now? You rejected me because of her, Logan. You made it very clear where you stood. Don't let all of that be a waste now. You should go and work it out with her" He let out a weary sigh and leaned against the por

  • His Brother's Fated Mate   It Is Over

Willow’s POV Mia made payments for the hair and we left the salon. I thought we’d go back to school but Mia didn’t want to. And I was glad she didn’t want to. There was no point. After everything that had happened, neither of us was in the mood to face the hallways. Instead, we headed straight to her house. I also still felt very conscious of my new hair and I was not ready for the glares. As we walked to her home, I pulled out my phone to check my messages. I was looking for one name. Lucas. The text I had sent him earlier was still there. I saw two grey ticks next to it. It had been delivered, but the ticks hadn't turned blue. He hadn't even opened it. He hadn't seen my request for Julian’s number. I felt a sharp pang of disappointment. I knew he was trying to place a wall between us but I wondered if he was even okay. I had not seen him since the pool. I tried to shake the image of his icy gaze at the pool out of my head, but it stuck there, reminding me of how quickly

  • His Brother's Fated Mate   A Change In Color

Willow’s POV I sat stiffly in the cushioned leather chair, staring at my reflection in the massive, gold-rimmed mirror. Mia was in the chair right next to me, her legs kept swinging back and forth like she didn't have a care in the world. "Mia, are you absolutely sure about this?" I whispered, "We are literally skipping school. You’ve never done this before and now you want us to dye our hair" "Please Willow, just relax" Mia said, waving a hand dismissively. "It’s my eighteenth birthday. We’re both adults now. I’m allowed to have a mid-life crisis a few decades early" I didn’t like the idea but she was right. It was her birthday. I had to be a good friend and support her. Especially after she just got rejected. If dyeing her hair was going to help her cope with the rejection then I was all for it. But I wondered… Mia said she got rejected but apart from when I met her on the ground. She looked okay. The pain of rejection was something that completely knocked me down. I eve
