28-Rejected and Rescued

Sara’s POV

I stagger to the hospital to get to Shay’s room. I feel the intense pain of the breaking bond and I need to see what is happening.

I was feeding Wallace when I almost dropped him, because the pain hit me so hard. Thankfully, Mama was there to take him. Once Wallace was safe, my parents rushed to the hospital. I couldn’t move as fast, I’m dizzy and tired. I’m trying not to pass out. Then I feel Thomas’s fear.

My Alpha is never afraid. Then I feel his pain again, only to have it disappear. Did he accept her rejection?

As I get closer, I hear Shay still in pain, then I see Thomas on the floor being looked at by a doctor.

“What happened?” I yell, kneeling next to my mate.

“He got knocked out by a flying chair,” the doctor looked worried.

I look at Shay, who is currently shaking with anger. Her eyes are glowing, and her claws are out. She gets out of bed when she sees me and stalks over to me. I’m confused, but then I realize she is about to strike.

Dad pulls her back and holds
