Little Sister

    ALIS P

ALIS P.O.V

Once Dillion and I finished our food, I wiped my mouth with a napkin and laid it down on my plate and looked at a worried Dillion.

"Okay Dillion. Now spill. Whats do you have to ask?" I asked.

"Ali... can Dina and I move in with you? I can't afford to pay for my apartment anymore. The money Im making is not enough for me and Dina to live in our apartment anymore. Ever since the money mom and dad left behind for us ran out, its been hard paying for Dinas medication bills and other bills i've been receiving in the mail too." said Dillion in a soft and sad tone.

Dillion has a little sister named Dina. Dillion and Dina have been living in a small apartment ever since their mom and dad passed away two years ago from a car accident. They used to live in a house on the suburbs but had to move because they couldn't afford to pay the bills, due to their parents death.

Dina is Dillions seven years old little sister and is diagnosed with epilepsy. The medication she needs is very expensive. Dillion is very protective of her and Im glad he is. Because of her condition, she can't do certain things that other kids usually do. Because of this, kids bully her at school and call her names and act like their having seizures, when their in front of her.

Kids need to realize that bullying is something that needs to be stopped. It dosen't matter if its one person or a group of people. Bullying is and will always be something that should not be done. Bullying someone hurts the victim physically and emotionally.

"Of course you and Dina can move in with me. I could never say no. You and Dina are family to me. She's practically like a little sister to me. You guys can start moving in tomorrow. I will come help you guys move in as soon as I finish work." I said softly with a small smile.

"Thanks Ali. You truly are the best friend I've ever had. I can't wait to tell Dina. I can't wait to see her face, when I tell her we're moving in with you." said a happy Dillion.

"No problem Dillion. I will always be here for you." I said.

When Dillion and I left the restaurant we went our separate ways and I called a taxi to take me home.

"Taxi" I shouted.

I got in the cab and told the driver my address, looked out the window and wondered how my day would turn out tomorrow.

I guess I should clear up the spare room in my apartment.

[Personal Note From Writer: I was a victim of being bullied for eight years and am diagnosed with epilepsy. So I personally know how Dinas character feels. For all those who were and are victims of being bullied, try your best to stay strong and just remember that no matter what anyone says, you are beautiful and awesome. When they try to make you feel worthless, show them how wrong they are. Strive to be the best and keep your head up. Don't let anyone put you down.]
