Dinner At Lia's

As soon as I got home, I dropped my purse on the ground and went straight to go and get ready.

I took a quick shower and picked out a red mid length dress that showed off my curves and straightened my hair. Then I put on my mascara and lip gloss and hurried out the door.

When I arrived at the Restaurant, I walked in and spotted Dillion sitting at a booth in the back.

"Hi Dill." I said, taking the seat across from him.

"Took you long enough. I waited here for hours! People were giving me pity looks because they thought I was being "stood up" by my date." Said Dillon. Putting air quotes on stood up.

"What? First of all, this isn't a date. And second, Dillion. It takes twenty minutes getting here from my house." I said in a amused tone.

"I know that! But THEY don't know that. A couple of minutes before you walked in, a old lady started hitting on me. Don't get me wrong, I love cougars but I don't like my cougars at the age of 60! That lady is old enough to my great grandma!" Said Dillion in a horrific tone and shuddering in effect.

"Aww... Poor thing." I said teasing.

"Thanks Ali. Its nice to know you care." said Dillion sarcastically.

One minute later, a waitress came to our table to take our orders. It was hard to miss the way she was checking out Dillion.

Dillion has blonde hair and dark brown eyes. He has one of this million dollar watt smiles that attracts all the ladies.

He's a great guy and I'm sure to say that, whoever has his heart, will be lucky to have a guy like Dillion in their life.

"Ali! Aliiiiiiii. Helllloooooooo?" said Dillion, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Huh? Im sorry, what did you say?"

"The waitress has been asking you what you want to order."

"Oh, sorry. I'll just take the chicken Alfredo pasta with raspberry ice tea." I said apologetically.

She let out a humph and turned her heels to go and make our food.

"So what were you thinking about?" asked Dillion.

"You." I said.

He sighed and said "Ali... I knew this was going to happen one day. Alright. Here it is. Im not interested. You know I don't see you like that. I --" before he could even finish what he wanted to say, I cut him off.

"Dillion! What the heck are you talking about!? Of course I'm not interested in you! Geez. Besides, dating you would be like dating my brother. My own flesh and blood." I said in a disgusted tone.

He laughed and said "Im glad to know."

A waiter came to our table with our food. I took a bite and moaned at how delicious it tasted.

"Hey Ali. Look! Quick!" said Dillion.

"What? Where?" I said back.

"Hot chick, by the door. Let me tell you, that girl is FINE and I want to make her all MINE. Turn around." said Dillion in a lustful tone.

I turned around and saw a lady with a beautiful black maxi dress that showed off her curves. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. She's 5"6 and looked like a model. She turned around and was clearly waiting for someone to walk through the door after her.

I wonder who she's waiting for.

If she's single, then Im sure that Dillion will make a move and would not pass up the chance to get her number.

One second later a man walked through the door. This wasn't just any man. This was a man, I most desperately did NOT want to see. There before me stood Mr. Day at the door.

Oh crap! I cant let him see me.

That guy already ruined my morning with his arrogant and cocky attitude.

I am not about to let him ruin my dinner with my best friend too. I quickly turned around and tried to hide my face with my right hand leaning on the table.

"Hey whats wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost." said an amused Dillion.

"Yes Dillion. Yes I have. That guy is my boss. You know... The asshole?" I said in a annoyed tone.

"Wowwwwwww. Ali. You are one unlucky girl."

"I think someone out there in the world hates me and is cursing my life with witch craft voodoo. Trying to make my life a living hell." I said back in a angry and quiet tone.

"Dramatic as always Ali...Oh look! He's coming this way!" said Dillion.

Crap! Crap! Crap!

"Miss. Dream? Fancy seeing you here." said Matthew in a surprised tone.

I put my hand down and looked up to see Matthew with his date locked onto his arm. I wonder if she's his mistress? I guess I shouldn't be surprised if she is.

As much as it kills me to say it, I smiled and said "Hello Mr. Day."

"What are you doing here?" said Matthew.

Im here to eat! What else does he think? Its a freaking restaurant.

I can feel a sarcastic comment just dying to make its way out of my mouth.

"We're on a date" said Dillion

I looked at Dillion with wide eyes and he winked at me with a mischievous smile.

Why do I have a feeling like something bad is about to happen?....

"A date? I didn't know you had a boyfriend." said Matthew.

I looked at Matthews face and see him clenching his jaw. His fist were held tight together and started turning white. I could see something in his eyes. Is it anger? Jealousy? No. It couldn't be. Im pretty sure Im wrong.

"It's not the companies business to know if I have a boyfriend. I separate my personal life from my work life." I said back, trying not to let him know that I was irritated by his comment. Clearly I failed in the end.

He smirked and said "You see, thats where you're wrong Ms. Dream. It IS the companies business. As my new P.A I have to make sure that I will be able to have your undivided attention."

"I assure you Mr. Day, you have my undivided attention when it comes to work." I replied.

Before he could reply, his date interrupted our conversation and said "Honey, Im hungry, lets leave them to their date and continue our date."

I smiled and said "Yes. Please continue on YOUR date and let me continue MINE."

Before he could reply, his date smiled and dragged him away.

I let out a breath of air I didn't even know I was holding and looked at Dillion.

"Ugh! He made it seem like I cant even have a relationship at all!" I said exasperated.

"It seems like you're going to be a nun from now on. I guess you should start changing your name to Sister Ali ." said Dillion in a teasing tone.

"Not funny Dillion. Not funny." I said in a annoyed tone.

"Yes it is Ali. Yes it is." said Dillion playfully, with a small laugh.

"No its Not! And what was with that whole date thing?" I said exasperated.

"Did you see his face? Something was there Ali! It was jealousy!" said an amused Dillion.

"What? Trust me when I say that you're delusional and that you need to go to a mental hospital. If you think that Matthew Day of Lexon Corp. was jealous of me being on a date with another man. Then I will check you in the mental institution myself."

"Im just saying what I saw Ali."

"Yeah? Well you saw wrong. Lets just drop this whole Matthew thing, and continue on with our dinner please?" I said begging Dillion.

"Fine. But only because I have something else to ask you after dinner."

"Huh? What is it?" I said confused.

"Eat first. Then we'll talk about it" said Dillion, while scooping a spoon full of my pasta and feeding it to me.

"Alright, but only because I want to hear what you're gonna say." I said with a small laugh.
