CHAPTER 13: VAMPIRE BLOOD
"I told you to wait!" Matt said. He slammed the door of the car and pedaled on the gas. The vehicle's engine roared as its tires wheeled against the concrete road and left the vampires with nothing but dust.
"Do you think a piece of jewelry with a piece of herb hidden on it would be able to stop them from attacking you?!"
Aria did not like the way he spoke to her, but she kept her lips tightly closed. She knows Matt was right. She knows what she did was an impulsive decision that almost cost her not just her own life but her friends as well.
"Why is it not working?" Cassie asked as she tried to bite herself and let Lizzie drink some of her blood. "It should be working. It worked with Jerome," she said.
