Chapter 93: Shadows' Trial

In the dim light of dawn, Sarah and Alex emerged from the cavern, their breaths misting in the crisp morning air. The events of the previous night weighed heavily on their minds as they made their way back to camp, each lost in their thoughts.

As they walked, Sarah couldn't shake the feeling of unease that lingered in the pit of her stomach. "Do you think we made the right choice?" she asked Alex, her voice barely above a whisper.

Alex frowned, his brow furrowing in thought. "I'm not sure," he admitted, his gaze fixed on the path ahead. "But we had to do something. We couldn't just stand by and watch as everything fell apart."

Their conversation was interrupted by the sound of voices drifting through the trees. Sarah and Alex exchanged a wary glance before cautiously approaching the camp.
