BLAIR'S POV

For two days now, I've been feeling pains in my tummy.

It comes and goes every ten minutes, and it's making me feel uncomfortable.

Jeff has been of help, but he wouldn't let me go to the hospital.

He said a doctor would come check me up, and up to now, no doctor has come, and the pain is intensifying.

“Can we go to the hospital already? I can't take it anymore!"

I cried out to him while he was in the bathroom.

Jeff didn't say a word; all I could hear was splashing of water.

Maybe he didn't hear me.

Or maybe he's ignoring me.

This pain is so strange.

Could it be that I am in labor?

Let's check it out.

After searching the internet to know the cause of the pain, that was the only way I could know.

It turned out I am in labor.

Our baby is finally coming.

“Jeff!"

I screamed his name, and he ran out of the bathroom.

“What is it?"

He looked so horrifying.

“Take me to the hospital already, the baby is coming!"

The more I screamed in pain, the more confused he became.

I stepped aside, and he walked in. “Do not lie to me, Blair. I saw you running inside the house." He dropped the pack of candy on the floor. “Did you send me out there to get you candies so you could go out?"I sighed, lowering my head. Since he had already caught me, there's no need to lie again. “Yes."I nodded my head in affirmation. “What!"He exclaimed, closed the door, and locked it. “Why?" He was so upset. “I… I am so sorry."I apologized, stepping back. “Sorry? Is that all? Why are you so stupid, Blair? Can't you just listen to a simple instruction?"He is insulting me.“But…"“Shut up!"He screamed at me. His voice was so loud that I had to cover my ears. Still, he didn't stop insulting and yelling at me. Jeff was so angry with me. But can't he just listen to my reason? He wouldn't even allow me to talk. “Can you stop screaming at me, please? You are hurting me!"I cried out, and he stopped. “Since we returned, you've kept me in this house like a prisoner. You

BLAIR'S POVIt's been three weeks already since we returned from our vacation, but Jeff wouldn't let me step out of the house. I can't even remember when we went on the vacation, but he told me I might have forgotten because I am pregnant. Well, I didn't argue with him because that was what the doctor said, too. Everything seems so new to me, yet, Jeff said this is where we have been living for two years now, ever since we got married. When was that?Because I can't even remember our own marriage. No pictures to show, and no memory of the past.I am so confused, and it bothers me that I live in my husband's house as a prisoner. He doesn't allow me to socialize with anyone. And he doesn't want me to even look out through the window. If not for the fact that he loves me so much, I would have thought he kidnapped me. Funny. My own husband can never kidnap me. Sighs. Sometimes, I wish he could allow me to step outside for a bit. Staying indoors is killing me so badly. Maybe h

JEFF'S POVFinally, my dream of having Blair all by myself has come true. Who knew it could be this soon?Presently, I think I am the happiest man on earth. A few days ago, when Blair told me she would be signing a marriage certificate with Raymond, my heart fluctuated. I knew talking her out of it wasn't the best thing because she won't listen to me. So, I played along, congratulating her as if I were happy for her. Then, on the day of the marriage, I volunteered to drive her to the court. But unknown to Blair, I've already planned what to do. First, it was to blow up the car so no clue would be found. Then take her away from the city without anyone suspecting anything. Now, we live alone in another country, far, far away from Raymond and everyone who knows us. “Hey, baby, you're awake."Blair yawned, rubbing her eyes as she came down the stairs. At some point, she paused on the stairs, held the railing with one hand while the other hand on her waist. “I am so heavy, honey.

“Release her."The officers exchanged glances. “But she hasn't confessed, Mr. Reece. Shouldn't we continue questioning her for one more week? I am sure she will confess before…”"Just release her."Keeping her there won't solve our problems because Cassie will never open up. However, releasing her will make us find out the truth. I'll keep an eye on her, watching all her steps until she leads me to where Blair is. “As you wish."They left, and after some minutes, they brought her out. Cassie heaved a sigh of relief when she saw me. “I thought you would never come back for me." She sniffled. “Ray, believe,"I grabbed her wrist, shutting her up, and took her outside. “Is this the kind of person you are?" She sighed.“How could you be so evil to lie to your sister? Why would you tell Blair's Dad that it was you who paid his hospital bills, and it was you who was there for him?" Cassie raised a brow. “But, it was I who…”"Shut up!” I screamed at her. When was she there for t

A week later, yet, news about Blair's whereabouts is unknown. Cassie kept swearing she didn't have any tangible conversation with Jeff. She said they only talked about Blair's marriage that day.Jeff called her to mock her that Blair was getting married to me, and he warned her to stay away from me. Those were the things she said, but I don't believe her. Jeff said those things to her?I know Jeff has been in love with Blair since high school, but Blair doesn't love him. He won't call to mock Cassie or warn her, Jeff will never do that. She is hiding something from us, and she expects us to believe her lies. If the cops or anyone believe her, I will never do that. “Ray, please, I want to get out of here. It's so scary staying in this place."Cassie cried to me when I went to see her at the headquarters. She looked so rough and thin. The officer said she has refused to eat anything for the whole week because she was pained that she was accused of what she didn't do. “You'd b

The moment I stepped out of the hospital, one of the cops called me. Cassie has been arrested, and she was with them at the headquarters. Good!I told her she could never run away from the cops, yet she tried running away. When I arrived there, Cassie was inside the interrogation room, being interrogated by the cops. She burst into tears as soon as she sighted me from the glass window. “Ray?"She called out, stretching her hand to me. What nonsense!Just take a look at her,One will think she is innocent. But she isn't, she is more than the devil himself. “Mr. Reece, she was arrested while trying to board the plane."Oh, so she was already at the airport to leave, right?Thank goodness they found her. If she were lucky to leave this city, I have no idea where she would run to. “I swear, I don't know anything about this." She cried out. The way Cassie was crying would make one have a change of mind about her. She looked so innocent, yet the evil in her heart can only be pe

“Ray, help me! Help!!"Blair's voice echoed in my ears.I tried to stand up, to go save her from drowning, but my hands seemed to be tied somewhere. “Raymond?"Grandpa tapped my arm. As soon as I opened my eyes and saw him, it dawned on me that I was dreaming. “Where is Blair?"That was my first question, but the worried look on his face tells that Blair was definitely in trouble. Where is she?I want to go see her now.“Sorry, Raymond, Blair is Dead."What!Blair can't be dead. She is alive. I just had a dream about her now, and she is looking for help.“Blair isn't dead, I saw her, she was drowning." "That was a dream, Blair is no more.”That is impossible. How can they say she is dead?Blair and I were on the phone, and she said she was on her way to the court for our marriage. She can't just die like that.Maybe she is playing a prank on me. I tried getting up from the hospital bed, but realized my hands were handcuffed to the bed. Why?I ain't running mad. Why the hand

Three days later, I received a call from Grandpa to go see Blair at her company. At first, I was skeptical about going because Blair might not want to see me. But then, I decided to give it a try again since Grandpa went to talk to her yesterday. To my surprise, Blair didn't order her assistant to tell me to go away, she even made them take me to her office. I waited for her as she was in a meeting when I arrived. When Blair arrived, she had smiles all over her face and then offered me a seat.Without wasting time, I started apologizing to her, telling her all that had happened after she left. “I wanted to go after you, to bring you back home, but something was stopping me. I had no control over it, Blair. Please forgive me.” She chuckled softly, took a sip from the coffee on the desk, and sighed. "It was your sister,” I went on."Cassie might have charmed me because I could only do the things she wanted me to do.” Blair lifted her right brow. She was surprised. "Cassie cha
