CHAPTER 19

Mikayla was not in a good mood. She was grumpy, she was irritated and she was angry. She leaned heavily on her horn.

"Get out of the darn way!" She yelled.

The man in the car in front of her flipped her the finger but sped up a little. Mikayla chucked at her own outburst.

She was hardly a confrontational person. She never got got into arguments or screaming matches on the road with strangers.

But she was already so tightly strung that any little thing was ticking her off. The man driving slowly in front of her. The light that turned red just one car before her.

The teenagers who had their song on too loud, blasting from their speakers. How they hadn't gone deaf yet, she didn't know.

Why was Mikayla in a mood? Because she was on her way to join Anna at the spa. That night, she'd called to Anna, stopping her before she got to the door with the intention to come clean.

She'd opened her mouth to tell Anna what was really going on but no sound issued from her between her lips.
