5 -THE Party...

Eliza's POV;

I'm in my bedroom with Athena. She's surfing through the internet, and I'm going through my emails to be sure I haven't missed anything concerning work.

Athena mostly always spends her weekends with me. Which explains why she was here when I woke up earlier today. We are a pair that's been inseparable for a very long time.

"Sweet, Jesus! "Athena suddenly yells, and I jump off my bed and land on the floor in fear, with a loud thud.

"Athena! "I yell while rubbing my rump when I realize she screamed like that all because of something she saw online.

"Oh my God, babe. I'm so sorry. "She says as she comes to the side of my high bed and offers me a hand which I reluctantly take.

"What happened? "I question when I finally take back my position on the bed.

"You will not believe it, Eliza. "She replies, and I give her a look.

"Ok, ok. Anthony's birthday is next week. "She replies, and I give her a look.

Anthony has been her crush for quite some time now. She's been stuck between Anthony and my big brother. Anthony and my crush, Damien are on the school's football team. They are teammates but don't seem to be very close.

"So? "I question, and she smiles broadly.

"It's all over the student's wall, and it seems all the cool kids are going. "She says with excitement clear as day in her voice, and I give her a boring look.

"So? "I question again and she gives me a displeased look.

"Ugh, come on, Eliza! Don't give off such a boring vibe! You know this party has been the talk of the school! "Athena whines and I roll my eyes.

" Yes, I know but how does it concern us? "I question.

" I just got an invite! "She exclaims, and my jaw drops.

"Wow, that's awesome. I didn't get an... "I exclaim in excitement for her, but just when I'm about to tell her my disappointment of not getting invited, a notification ding on my phone shuts me up.

I open it and find it's a colorful SMS inviting... Me!

" I just got an invite! "I exclaim, and Athena starts laughing.

" Look at you. A few seconds ago, you were acting like this party means absolutely nothing to you. "She teases, and I smile.

"Well, you can't blame me. It's said that the party is strictly by invitation, and I was preparing for the worst.

You know what such gatherings mean to me. I'd get to see Damien, and that too not in school. "I narrate, and she giggles.

"Alright, Missy. What are we wearing? "She questions, and I laugh.

" I don't know yet. "I confess, and she rushes off to my closet and flings its doors open.

I stare down at the invite again, but gag on seeing something.

"Ewwwwwww. "I exclaim in disgust and Athena turns around in alarm.

"What? What is it? " She questions in concern and I gag dramatically.

"Yuck! The party is being held at Amber's father's club! "I exclaim.

"No way... "Athena replies before pulling out her phone from her back pocket and going through the invite.

"Holy, God! "She exclaims, and I fall back into my bed in annoyance.

"How could they do this? Now I don't feel like going! I hate that Amber girl so much, I might dunk this party for her! "I exclaim, and Athena rushes over to me.

"Now, now... There's no reason to think irrationally. You know I can't storm a party without you, and I won't let us miss out on spending a whole day with our crushes cause of...

Amber Devil. "Athena says. Pronouncing the name with disgust and clicking her tongue like the name left a bitter taste in her mouth.

"Besides, it's a double win for us if we get to outdress her at her father's club. It sure would throw her off her high horse. "Athena encourages, and I smile at the grand ideas of outfits that flood me.

I sit up and smirk at Athena, and she smirks back.

"Tell me diva, what ways to shut down the party are running through your mind? "She questions and I stare over at my closet with a dark smirk.

Oh, if Damien doesn't notice me at that party, then something has to be wrong with his eyes...
