Mission Doubleshot : 07

It's over. The tension Ivo had been feeling since earlier was finally over. Now he could breathe a sigh of relief. The mind control chipset was in his hands, and he could relax a little now.

He looked at the suitcase he was carrying. “Tsk, I really had to risk my life just to get this device,” he muttered. He was curious about how the device worked in full because so many people wanted it.

The sky was still dark, and the weather was getting colder. However, Ivo casually continued walking while holding his suitcase. He had made sure that no one was following him, so he could relax a little.

Soon, Ivo arrived at the house he had rented earlier. The house was small and quite far from the pier, but it was comfortable and quiet. There were many local knick-knacks here, and the design was cute, which is why he liked it here.

“Ahhhh... so comfortable,” he said as he sat down on the sofa and rested his head on the headrest. His eyes were closed and his arms were folded across his chest. He was really tired from this endless battle.

For a moment, he recalled how the battle he had just fought had gone.

Everything had gone according to plan. He successfully infiltrated the Black Wolf mafia headquarters, where he found the mind control chipset stored in a room. However, the situation changed when the white-haired man arrived and snatched his bag. Ivo clenched his fists. For the second time, he was really annoyed with the white-haired man for always messing up his plans. 

In fact, he still remembered how he had almost died from the Black Wolf mafia's gunfire earlier because he had been too focused on fighting the white-haired man.

“Fuck. I failed to kill him again,” he muttered irritably. Really, the face of the white-haired man who had bothered him was still very clear in his mind. And the more he remembered it, the more he wanted to kill that man.

But, for now, it seemed that there was a bigger threat coming his way. Once again, he emphasized that the Black Wolf and Blood mafias were fairly large groups, and they had many members who liked to kill brutally. So, because he had managed to steal this chipset, he would definitely be targeted by the mafia in the future.

“Looks like I have to prepare myself to face something bigger after this.” He truly believed that this theft was just the beginning of many things he would face in the future.

Ivo suddenly shook his head. “No, no, I can't overthink things like this. I'll just think about it later, if it really happens.”

Now his focus shifted to the suitcase containing the mind control chipset. He was very curious about this object, so he approached it and opened the suitcase. Inside, there was a chipset with a brain logo and several vials of red liquid. It seemed that these two objects had to be used together.

But one odd thing stood out: there was an empty space in this suitcase. And then he suddenly remembered that inside the suitcase there was also an algorithm to recreate this chipset. “Oh, fuck, how could I have forgotten that thing?” 

Ivo immediately panicked. This couldn't be allowed to happen. Even though he had managed to get the chipset and serum, if the algorithm wasn't destroyed, these two dangerous tools could be recreated. This couldn't happen—

SLAM!

The door of his rented house was instantly destroyed, and Ivo reflexively turned his gaze towards the door. His hands immediately clenched into fists, and his jaw tightened. “YOU AGAIN! YOU BASTARD!”

Truly, Ivo couldn't understand how the white-haired man could be back in front of him again. This was the third time. Oh, was Ivo's fate really that bad that he had to keep meeting this annoying white-haired man? 

What did fate really want that he had to keep meeting this man in front of him?

“What the—” Before Ivo could speak, Cylo immediately fired his bullet, but fortunately, Ivo managed to dodge the shot.

The professional hacker became even angrier. He took his gun and shot back at Cylo brutally.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Finally, this small rented house became a battlefield. Ivo and Cylo shot at each other, leaving holes in the walls of the house. The items here were also destroyed, broken, and some electronic devices exploded. The situation here was completely chaotic.

These two handsome men were still determined to fight over the mind control chipset. They were determined to complete their mission flawlessly. In addition, their desire to kill each other was still very high. Their never-ending battle was really unbearable for them.

The sound of gunfire was very clear. They were shooting at each other from close range. Both of them were already injured, but they didn't care and continued to shoot at each other. 

“Fuck! Let's finish this fight, you bastard.” Cylo couldn't take it anymore, he threw his empty gun and prepared to fight.

Ivo stared sharply at Cylo. “I'm going to break your jaw!”

The two men immediately attacked each other. They exchanged punches and kicks. Neither of them wanted to lose. This was their third fight, and they had to end it once and for all. They put all their remaining energy into this final battle.

Ivo attacked Cylo's right leg, then Cylo retaliated by kicking Ivo's left shoulder. Their fight was truly brutal, even though their bodies were covered in wounds. However, Ivo was already feeling exhausted, allowing Cylo to dominate the fight. In fact, the white-haired man managed to land several punches to Ivo's face.

Ivo was truly cornered. His stamina was depleted, and he realized the man in front of him was physically stronger. No. He couldn't keep fighting like this. And when there was an opening, Ivo took advantage of it to kick Cylo's stomach hard, creating distance between them.

Ivo quickly grabbed the suitcase containing the mind control chipset and immediately started to walk away. But Cylo wouldn't let him. He pulled on the suitcase, causing both of them to tug at it until it fell to the floor, open.

Instantly, the two cute men were shocked and realized there was an opportunity. Cylo immediately destroyed the serums while Ivo destroyed the chipset. They both destroyed them very brutally.

Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack!

Now, the chipset and serum were completely destroyed into pieces because of Cylo and Ivo. And after that, they immediately sat on the floor, panting.

It took them a few minutes to realize what they had done. And when that happened, both of them could only remain silent, feeling weak.

Fuck. Holy Fuck.

If only they had known from the beginning that their goal was the same —to destroy the device —maybe they wouldn't be like this.

Damn it.

So what was the point of the crazy fight they had earlier? It was all just a waste of time. Shit.

Ivo looked at Cylo with resignation. “If only I had known earlier that you also wanted to destroy this dangerous device.”

Cylo also sighed weakly. “Huh... we probably wouldn't have wasted time killing each other like this.”

These two sweet men really sighed deeply. They were really annoyed at their stupidity in not realizing that their missions were more or less the same. If they had cooperated from the start, they might have returned to their homes by now. Damn it.

Finally, the two men chose to sit on the sofa and catch their breath. For a few minutes, they were preoccupied with their own thoughts. Their mission was complete, but they were still annoyed at their own stupidity.

Suddenly, Cylo's gaze shifted to the only empty space in the suitcase, as if there was something missing from it. “That's it, the algorithm isn't here, is it?”

Ivo nodded at Cylo's question. “Yes, when I brought it, the algorithm wasn't here. It seems that the Black Wolf mafia had already secured it first.”

After that, the two men fell silent again. They looked at each other. It seemed that they were thinking the same thing. Even though the chipset and serum had been destroyed, if the algorithm still existed, then this dangerous device could still be recreated. So, like it or not, they had to carry out another mission to destroy the algorithm.

“Do you think the same as me?” asked Ivo, looking at Cylo. “Because it looks like I'm going to carry out the mission to destroy the algorithm again.”

Cylo understood what Ivo was saying. He and the person next to him shared the same goal, so perhaps he could set aside his ego and collaborate with this man. “Yes, it looks like we have to work together to really complete this mission.”

"All right, then, my name is Ivo. I'm a professional hacker who's been assigned to destroy the chipset because it has the potential to disrupt the stability of the world.“ Ivo raised his hand to shake hands with his enemy.

Cylo immediately returned his enemy's handshake. ”All right. Nice to meet you, I'm Cylo. I'm a hitman who's also been assigned to destroy the chipset because it's very dangerous."

Now, the atmosphere here felt different. The two handsome men who previously wanted to kill each other were now forced to suppress their egos. They had to work together to complete their similar missions. And if this were the case, at least they wouldn't waste time killing each other and could focus on destroying the algorithm.

“So, now we're partners?” Ivo asked to confirm.

“Yeah, we're temporary partners for this mission,” Cylo replied with a smile.

These two cute men seemed to have made up their minds to work together on this mission. They were compelled to suppress their feelings of annoyance and anger to maintain professionalism while completing this mission.

Moreover, knowing they shared the same mission made their moods feel different. And more than that, for some reason, they felt like their chemistry was a good fit. Maybe they could become good friends in the future? Yes, hopefully.

“Alright, let's get this mission done quickly.”
