Chapter Fourteen: Hard

Wet, soft, and quick.

Kate's eyes widened as her eyes locked on Yael's face beneath him. He was staring at her in disbelief as well.

He immediately grabbed her body when she slipped. But because they were in an unfavorable position, it was too late that they outbalanced their bodies.

Yael, on the other hand, was too quick to change their position, so he fell into the shallow water and she landed on top of him. She knew she should have asked if he was hurt, but their lips had already met.

Making both of them freeze in their places.

The sudden croaking of the frogs jolted them back to reality. Kate immediately drew back. Her face was flushed, and she wiped her lips quickly. Damn! Not again!

"You're welcome," Yael said, trying to ease the awkwardness.

"You…!" Kate looked at him in pissed.

"Thank you was enough. At least you did not fall right?"

"Even so!"

"Why so irritated? It's my lips that caught yours. Can't you just be grateful?" Yael was clearly having fun teasing her.
