ELLA'S POV

I was busy making breakfast when I heard the sound of Ivy's voice calling unto me. I turned my gaze from the dishes I was preparing. The soft scent of bacon wafted through the kitchen as I darted my gaze in her direction.

Ivy stood by the door frame, her hair packed up into ponytails. She had a dull look on her face and as I glanced at her, I couldn't help it but ask. “What's wrong darling?” My voice sliced through the air as she paced towards me. Once she got closer, I bent over to grab her.

I raised her into my arms and as I did that, I heard her tummy rumble. “Oh, I see where the problem is.” I said and turned my gaze back to the bacon. It was now crispy brown meaning it had fully cooked and I didn't need to wait any longer.
