Chapter 21

Hunter-

After going into the library to research everything I could about the Lethe River and Purgatory, I felt Kyra was right. I couldn’t find anything. At least nothing helpful. Everything I found didn’t match anything I experienced in Purgatory.

“Do you remember Zeke saying he studied Purgatory, and that was how he made a deal with Artemis?” My wolf asked.

“That is why I thought I would find something, but these books are useless.” I sighed as I threw the book I was reading to the side.

“Maybe he has something in his office?” Ace suggested.

I considered that as I looked around the library. It was a vast library with almost every book this world had ever seen. I shouldn’t give up after an hour, but I didn’t think I would find anything. My instincts told me I could spend the rest of my life in this room, but I wouldn’t find anything.

“It is worth a try.” I spoke to my wolf as I stood up.

Everyone else was engrossed in what they were looking at, so I didn’t tell them what I was up to
