LOGINWhen a letter inviting Rovak to play for the Delta Eagles, he wasn't excited. Rather it reminded him of what he couldn't have.
He hid the letter in his room, knowing River, he would snoop around in his room to cause mischief. "Rovak! We are late" Alpha Perez called. "I am coming father" he called back. On a second thought, he put the letter into his bag. "Let's go boys, the last I want is to be late and Alpha Vergara making a big deal about it" Rovak sighed, the rivalry between his father and Alpha Vergara was honestly so annoying at this point. They left the house and Rovak headed to the car. "What are you doing?" Alpha Perez asked. "Going to the car so we can drive to the meeting." "Its in the next pack Rovak, barely thirty minutes away. We will run there. We are werewolves not those puny humans" Alpha Perez replied. "Unless you are too weak to do so?" River asked. "let's go father" Rovak replied his father ignoring River who was scowling beside their father. He undressed and kept his clothes in the bag and shifted into his wolf form. His bones cracking and contorting. Fur bursting out of his skin. Soon in his place, stood a pure black wolf that looked majestic in every form. His father and brother had also shifted as well. A black wolf which looked nearly identical to Rovak and a white wolf stood there. One of River's biggest greviances was that Rovak's wolf looked identical to their father. They ran fast among the forest trail. Rovak stayed behind them, even though he could outrun them. The first time, he had showed he was faster. He had been beaten by River while his father turned a blind eye. A fourteen year old Rovak had quickly learnt to dim his light a little. A short distance from the pack, they changed back to their human form and quickly dressed up. Rovak followes his father and brother into the pack. They were at Deep Moon pack, Alpha Vergara's pack. The regional werewolf meeting was being held there. "Hey, Alpha Perez from Crescent moon pack is here" Alpha Vergara announced as they entered the room. Alpha Perez muttered something under his breath as they sat down. Rovak was pretty sure it was a curse. He sat down behind his brother and father. He felt eyes on him, he looked up to see Tanner staring at him. What did the preppy boy want now. He droned out through the meeting. He was so happy, he wasn't the eldest son, he couldn't imagine sitting through these boring meetings. "So Alpha Vergara, what is going on with Tanner?" an alpha asked. Rovak watched as Alpha Vergara smiled proudly and held Tanner's shoulders. "well my star hockey boy was scouted by the Edo Sparrows. I couldn't be prouder. He is going to be a professional hockey player for the best team in the state" he said proudly. "But isn't he going to be the next Alpha. Won't this interfere with his duties?" Alpha Vergara shrugged. "I am still alive and am not dying soon. Tanner can live his life for now. Plus my son is perfect and I believe he can do both things" Rovak watched bitterly. Of course the preppy boy had a supportive father who supported his dreams. "What about you Alpha Perez, your son plays hockey too." the Alpha turned to ask Alpha Perez. "Yes, Rovak plays hockey. As a matter of fact, his team won against Vergara's son team" Alpha Perez bragged. Rovak rolled his eyes. His father was such a braggart. "and was he scouted too? If he was so good." Alpha Vergara asked with a provoking smile. Alpha Perez's smile dried up. Rovak looked up to see Tanner looking at him with a pitying smile. One thing he wouldn't tolerate was this preppy boy pitying him. He cleared his throat,"actually, I was scouted by a team as well. The Delta Eagles" Alpha Perez's eyes lit up. "You did? Why didn't you say anything?" he asked. "I wanted to tell you later. Plus, I am still thinking if I am going to accept the offer" "Why wouldn't you accept the offer son? the Eagles are a very good team" Alpha Vergara asked. Rovak glanced at his father. "I am thinking of staying to help father in the pack" Alpha Perez came closer to him and slapped his shoulder. "nonsense son, you are going to accept the offer." "i am?" "Yes son, you are going to be a hockey player" "But father, you said..." River tried to interrupt. "shut up" Alpha Perez whispered. Rovak knew exactly why his father had changed his mind. He couldn't stand Alpha Vergara having something he didn't. Their rivalry had made him approve Rovak continuing his career. "I look forward to seeing you two face off in games" Alpha Vergara said. "and Rovak is going to defeat your son just like he did in their last game" his father replied. "heh...we will see" "Indeed we will aee" Alpha Perez replied looking at Rovak. Rovak knew that was his father's silent threat. He had better make sure he defeated Tanner every time they met. .... Rovak stood in a quiet corner, taking a swig of Wolfgang. "You shouldn't be drinking that" Tanner appeared. "Do you always come to where you aren't invited to give unsolicited advise" "So I guess I will be seeing you at a game soon Perez" "Yes and don't forget to bare your neck Vergara" Tanner rolled his eyes. "You can be such an asshole" "Good you know so when I defeat you, you don't go crying to Daddy" "goddess, I will enjoy beating you" Tanner muttered. "In your dreams Vergara" Rovak replied and walked off."Wow! Dinner tastes much better" Tanner commented as he ate the food."Yeah, I wonder what changed today" Rovak replied."Maybe it's because it's our last night" Tanner suggested."And maybe it's because I came to save you boys from horrible meals" a female voice added. They looked up to see Luna Joan, standing by their table."Greetings Luna" they said together."Hello boys, may I join you?" she asked."Yes ma'am, please join us" Tanner said with a smile.Luna Joan sat with them. "How are you doing boys?" she asked."Fine ma'am" Rovak and Tanner replied.Rovak looked over at Joe curiously, "Won't Joe be angry that you are sitting with us instead of him?" he asked Luna Joan.Luna Joan chuckled, "Oh please, Joe told me to pretend we don't know each other here, he doesn't want to be called a mummy's boy"Rovak and Tanner laughed."Well we hope our company is enjoyable then" Rovak replied."It is dear" Luna Joan said with a smile. She reached out and removed a piece of grass from his hai
Flashback...Talon found Ryder at the back of a building, he was drinking from a small flask."What are you drinking?" Talon asked."Wolfgang" Ryder replied."When did you start drinking Wolfgang? You always lecture me on the effects" Talon questioned."Tal, I am too tired to engage with you" Ryder told him, he tried to leave but Talon pulled him back and pinned him against the wall."why are you avoiding me?" Talon asked."I am not avoiding you" Ryder replied."Ry, since we kissed in the forest, you have been avoiding me, why?" Tanner asked."Didn't we say we would stop this?" Ryder asked, leaning his head against the wall."No, there was no 'we'. You said we should stop this, I didn't agree to anything""Tal...""Don't you like me?" Talon murmured.Ryder shook his head a little, he raised his hand, clenched and unclenched it several times and then he placed it on the back of Talon's hair."I like you a lot" Ryder replied."Are you not attracted to me?"Ryder groaned, he ran his han
"Hmmm, first in the blindfold, your fathers also took first" Alpha Jonathan murmured as he looked at Rovak and Tanner."We are just trying to follow in our father's example" Tanner replied."Hmmm" Alpha Jonathan murmured.Rovak stepped forward, "My father says I am to listen to you, because you are a perfect example of what an Alpha should be"Alpha Jonathan looked at him in surprise, "Ryder said that?""Yes he did, he said so when he called me earlier.""But he didn't say anything like that when we spoke" Alpha Jonathan said suspiciously. "You know how my father is, he won't say it to you directly" Rovak replied.Alpha Jonathan smiled a little, the first smile he had given them since they arrived. "Well Ryder has always been the reasonable one, unlike Talon. I wanted to befriend him back then but he only cared about his 'soul brother'.""Well, I guess with how things are now, he regrets not befriending you back then" Rovak continued. "Ah! Who would have thought the 'soul brothers'
Rovak and Tanner went back to their room after dinner. They stood looking at the single beds. "I think we should join the beds together" Tanner suggested.Rovak looked at him with a smirk, "You are so obsessed with me"Tanner shrugged, "True, I am obsessed with you, I want to spend the nights cuddling with you. I don't think we have ever had time to do that" he replied.Rovak melted, "Awwn my baby" he hugged Tanner.Tanner held his waist and leaned down to kiss him.Rovak's phone rang, he reluctantly left the kiss and checked his phone, it was his father. He sighed and picked up the call. Tanner went back to joining the two beds together."Hello father" he said as he picked up the call."How are you doing son? Is everything okay there?" Alpha Perez asked.Rovak was surprised, when did his father start caring about his well being."I am fine father" Rovak replied."Is Alpha Jonathan still an asshole?" Alpha Perez asked."Well...." Rovak trailed off."He is annoying, believe me, his fat
Flashback....Fire Moon Pack Training camp... "Come on, we will be late for practice" Ryder Perez urged Talon Vergara. "Ryder, we don't have to be so early, let's chill" Talon replied."Talon, you know Alpha Jon already has it out for you. Let's not give him more ammunition"Talon scoffed, "Yeah right, Alpha Jon has it out for anyone who isn't as perfect as Jonathan. I didn't even want to come to this thing. Everyone already thinks I will be a bad alpha, even my own dad, if he had another option, he wouldn't have picked me"Ryder held his shoulders and turned him to face him."What are we?" he asked."Soul brothers" Talon replied."and I believe you will be the best alpha that the pack has ever had. I believe in you""Thank you" Talon hugged him."You are welcome" Ryder replied.Talon nuzzled his neck, "Goddess you always smell so good" he muttered.Ryder
Fire Moon Pack....Tanner stood with the other trainee Alphas, he checked the time, Rovak still wasn't here. Where was he? Wasn't he coming?Alpha Jonathan stood in front of the young men, he counted them, "who is missing?" he asked. The young men looked at each other, they all kept quiet."I asked a question, who is missing?" Alpha Jonathan asked again."Rovak Perez sir" Tanner replied. At that moment, Rovak rushes in. "I am sorry I am late" he apologized."Rovak Perez, why are you late?" Alpha Jonathan asked."Traffic sir"Alpha Jonathan shook his head, "Your father was so disciplined, I thought you would be more like him, I was wrong""I am sorry sir" Rovak apologized again.Alpha Jonathan looked away dismissing Rovak.Rovak went to stand by Tanner, Tanner gave him a small nod, Rovak nodded back.Alpha Jonathan cleared his throat, they focused their attention on him."Now welcome to the training camp, I believe your fathers must have already given you some basic training, this is j
Tanner sat nervously opposite his parents as they had dinner. But he couldn't even hear a word they were saying. All that ran through his mind was what had happened earlier in the shower. Usually Rovak looked unapproachable but back then in the shower, his face had looked so entrancing. Oh godde
