Chapter 244

It was Leo who had asked the front desk to put his room right next to Miranda’s.

“Have you eaten yet?” Leo asked.

Miranda shook her head. “I was going to put my things away and then grab something at the restaurant.”

“Mind if I join you?” he asked. He had not eaten either.

The hotel buffet ran until nine.

“Sure,” Miranda said. She did not mind. She dropped off her laptop in her room, then came back out, walking with Leo toward the elevators.

When the doors opened on the third floor, a couple stood waiting inside.

It was Felix and Xena.

Miranda’s expression chilled. Leo caught the change in her face from the corner of his eye. He said to Felix, “Why don’t you two go first? We’ll wait.”

Felix’s face was tight as well. His gaze swept over Miranda and Leo, then lingered on Miranda with an unreadable look.

Xena offered a gentle smile. “Leo, Miranda. What a coincidence.”
