Chapter 53: Ill-intentioned Stunt

Ariadne could not believe her ears when she heard it. She angrily walked up to Grace to confront her.

“What’s this talk all about? Why are you maligning me?” She asked, staring at Grace with iciness in her glare. Her fists were clenched tightly, desperate to punch somebody’s mouth until sense returned to the person’s head.

“What?” Grace retorted defiantly, standing up to Ariadne. She looked like a little kitten challenging the neighbor’s well-bred fat cat when she did so.

“Did I say anything wrong? I saw you dropping off a Mercedes Benz a few blocks away from the company today! You were dropped off by an older man. Am I wrong?” She said in a high pitched voice and hissed loudly.

Ariadne was at her wit’s end at the girl’s opinionated display of superiority. Yet, she did not fret and rather tried to calm herself down so as not to explode.

Grace felt aggrieved. She had seen Ariadne coming down from the passenger’s side of a Mercedes Benz.
