My Alpha Mate Rejected Me

I am Belle Daphne, the Beta's youngest daughter, of Blue Moon Crescent Pack in Canada and this year I am turning seventeen. I have two older brothers and one older sister, but we are not related to her.

My older sister Diane was found at our packhouse doorsteps when she was a baby; I overheard it from my parents one night when they were talking to the Alpha. The Alpha tried to find her parents, however, they could not find them and my parents decided to adopt her - she was so adorable, after all. Ever since then, she has been the centre of attraction in my family, which makes me feel like the black sheep as hardly any attention is paid to me. 

Honestly speaking, I am not fond of her either way. Firstly, she doesn't like me whenever I am near my best friend; Blake Harrison, since the two of them are currently in a relationship. Secondly, there is this strange thing about her that I do not like, but I could not figure it out. I guess it’s called having a sixth sense, yet I choose to ignore it since I have no proof that there is something fishy about her.

I have always wanted my best friend - who happens to be the alpha of my pack after his father - to be my mate.

He is what all the girls want; handsome, sweet, kind and caring. That day when we were celebrating his 18^th birthday, I was kind of sad because he was in a relationship with my adopted sister, Diane, and it felt like they are mates.

Everything was in a slow-motion when I found him looking straight at me while no one was around them.

“Mate!” shouted Blake while fighting his urges to come out in his wolf form to claim me.

I was happy because I always had a crush on him and I couldn’t ask for anything more except being his mate. 

Sadly, happiness came for a short time. His mind links to me; let’s meet at our favourite waterfall area after the party. With that, he strolled off away to where the party was being held. I see him standing there looking very serious. “Hey, Blake.” He has a cold look on his face, it terrified me because I hadn’t seen this side of him before.

He looks at me with his cold eyes. “I am sorry, Belle, you can’t be my mate. I love your sister so much and I can’t do that to her. She lost her mate when a rogue killed her, and I can’t be breaking her heart.”

Was that all he could say! He didn't care about my feelings when he rejected me, all his feelings were for my sister. 

“how am I going to live without you being by my side?” I cry.

To which he replies. “You will find a guy better than me. I, Blake Harrison, reject you, Belle Daphne, to be my mate.”

When those few words came out of his mouth, I felt my heart breaking into pieces. He uses his wolf form to run away after uttering those words, while I am standing here feeling the pain.

After the rejection, I cried all night asking myself why I didn't deserve all the love from my parents, brothers and him! I felt so stupid believing that my mate will accept me, probably, I will never be good enough for anyone.

They always cared for her while I was there suffering in silence after I got rejected. I keep on comparing myself to my sister, asking myself why did he choose her? Did he love her because of her beautiful body or her character?

Every day, eating with my family and him was torture. Instead of eating, I would excuse myself and go back to my room. There were a couple of times when I saw them kissing and holding hands, it made me feel so sick. When I looked at him, it was like I didn't know him anymore.

The day when his father announced him to be the new Alpha, he shocked everyone by saying that they were holding a wedding in one month,  as he did not want to waste his time finding a mate while he is in love with my adopted sister.

I was devastated by the news while everyone else cheered for them. When I felt a tear roll down my cheek, he looked at me but I turned around and ran to my bedroom. I cried for hours till there were no tears left. By the time I stopped crying, I noticed it was already midnight.

That was when I decided that I couldn't take the pain and quickly pack all my stuff. I took a paper and just wrote; sorry everyone and please don't find me, placed the piece of paper on my bed.

After I was done, I ran away to the forests quickly in my human form; there was still a year till my transformation. 

I thought that by running away from all the drama, I wouldn't have to suffer anymore. However, the Moon Goddess has planned something else for me, flipping all my expectations.
