Sara's POV

The door bursted open and walked in Ruth with an excited look on her face. "Boss, I brought you a whole bottle of orange juice since you might want to make sure it safe, you're pregnant and you should be more careful about the things you take."

I was about smiling but one of the words she mentioned sent shivers down my spine. I got up from the slanty chair in haste, walked past Ruth to look behind her and make sure that no one else had heard. Once the coast was clear, I closed the door shut and pulled Ruth close to me, grabbing her by the shoulders.

"What did you just say?"

"You're pregnant. Is that not—"

I clasped my hand around Ruth's mouth, clasping it shut. "Do you have any idea what the consequences of what you've just said?"

Ruth looked shocked and confused all at once. "I'm a med student in my final year so I can identify that you are pregnant."
