14 - Bride?

As we were talking, Joshua received a call and by the expression on his face, it seemed like it was something he had forgotten.

"Listen...Alice, unfortunately we'll have to continue our conversation later. I forgot that I have an event today," he replied, putting his phone back in his suit pocket.

"Oh, no problem!"

"I'll drive you home," he said, getting up from the table.

"If you want me to take a taxi so that you won't be late..." I stood up after him.

"It's okay, I'll take you. The event venue isn't far from my apartment. I just need to stop somewhere first."
