A couple of weeks later, the once-divided wolf pack began to excel under the Alpha twins’s guidance. As intra-relations between wolves, packs yielded harmonious relationships between packs, which helped in establishing cooperation and mutual understanding between all creatures.

The war now served as a symbol of peace and reconciliation. Through great sacrifice, the Alpha twins were able to not only transform the fortunes and reputations of the pack, but they were also starting to leave a lasting mark on the world and they gained the respect of everyone who doubted and stood against them.

“Your flirting skills never seem to end, does it?” I scoffed. Trying to hide the blush creeping up my cheeks. “From the look on your face, you seem to enjoy it.” Zayn chuckled. They were warming up my heart rather quickly and unlike the previous times, I didn’t feel repulsed by it. “So tell me, how did you capture Beta Jude, Graham, and Ken? I assume they tried to run away after setting the house on fire?” I said, diverting from the topic to what I was most interested in. We figured that they would run so we had the entire area covered with our wolves, cornering them in. They tried to fight through the barricade but we met them with equal show of force. We lost a couple of good wolves but they suffered the most deaths and with Beta Jude gravely injured after our father engaged in a fight with him, they eventually surrendered what was left of their small army.” Zach narrated. “Have you decided on what will happen to them?” I asked, eager to know if a judgment had been served. Za

A week laterThings were moving fine but it was too slow for my liking and I wanted more. At this rate, I wasn’t going to get everything I wanted out of this and I didn’t want that to happen. Time wasn’t on our side and we needed to make a bigger statement, something that would accelerate the process and give me what I was searching for easily. “Ken hasn’t given us enough yet and it’s been a slow process.” Zach said, mirroring my exact thoughts. “We can’t force our hand or else he’d figure out something isn’t right and the moment he does, we’ve lost our only chance of winning this.” Zayn said. They were right and so was I. We all agreed on the fact that we needed to accelerate things.“We need a new plan and we need it fast.” I said, voicing out my thoughts. “Do you have anything in mind, Zach?” Zayn asked, stroking his jaw. “Well, we need to put on a show that would convince everyone that Ari hates us. Not many people know we’ve made up and we can use that to our advantage.” Zac

“I don’t hold anything against you, Alpha Jason. I’ve had close friends of my own as well and if you tell me that they were hatching a plot to take me down, I wouldn’t believe you either. At first, I got mad and sad that you brushed me away without listening but after thinking about it, I understand why you did it.” I said. “Your mother would be proud of you, Ari.” He said and I smiled. “I’m curious, Alpha Jason. How did they get you on board? What exactly were their words?” “Before I say anything, I want to know how you three planned this whole thing. It must have taken guts and a lot of heart because you literally fooled everyone.” The shock in Alpha Jason’s voice made me feel happy. It wasn’t everyday one got the chance to impress an Alpha and I did it flawlessly. “You’re borderline crazy. You know that, right?” Zach stared at me like I’d grown a second head. I didn’t know why he was suddenly aghast about what I’d just said. He clearly told me that he was ready to help me ou

Zach and ZaynWe were approaching the forest now and realistically, we didn’t know what to expect. We debated on bringing help but we didn’t know who to trust either and having been gone for a couple of months, we both knew that things had changed. So we only made plans with a small band of wolves we’ve been with for over a decade. We could see it and we could sense it. Our father was a shadow of himself and I knew what pain he was feeling. Losing one mate was bad enough and many people never recovered from the heartbreak but losing another mate a couple of years later? We were both scared for our dad and that was why we were here, trying to make sure that nothing happens to him or what he’s built over the years. If this would be our way of trying to fix things and mending our broken relationship with our father, then we’d do it all over again. “How much further, Zach?” Zayn asked, rather impatient and eager to get in on the action. “I don’t know, Zayn. We’re following the same

“They made a sex tape and they let it go viral in the pack without my consent and the ripple effect of that video made my mother leave Alpha Jason and that’s why they were exiled in the first place,” I said. “Is that what you believe happened, Ari?” Ken laughed. “I know everything, Ken. I mean, you once tried to rape me and it was all part of the sick joke you carried out with the Alpha twins alongside Fallory and Dina. I’ve heard everything already, you don’t need to rewrite history for me, you know?” “Going back to the start of my second plan, I knew that I had to come up with something more solid so I decided to find someone that had the same ideology as me and as the Moon Goddess would have it, I found Graham. He also had big dreams and he also agreed with me that Alpha Jason couldn’t lead this pack in the right way so we joined forces. We’ve been planning to overthrow him ever since that day and we’re getting close.”“Knowing that we won’t be able to achieve everything we desi

“I’m—I don’t know what you’re talking about. My mother and I have nothing to do with whatever plans you have or you had concerning Alpha Jason. We’re not from the royal family and we haven’t been here for long, so you can’t blame us for any misfortune and if anything happened with our arrival, it was a coincidence and a misunderstanding just like this moment.” The silence in the room hung above us like a chandelier. We all waited for Beta Jude to speak but he was stalling and I couldn’t figure out why. “I’m sure you’re well aware of the fact that your mother got married to Alpha Jason because his wife died.” He began. I frowned. Where was he heading with this? Everyone knew about the tragic accident that happened that shook the entire pack. The scene of the accident had been sealed off and reconstructed into something else to hide the horrors. A couple of people had said there was no way it was an accident but the motion never gained traction, mostly because no one wanted to add

That was my mistake and I regretted it instantly. I shouldn’t have said what I did and now, I had only dug a hole for myself. My sudden bursts of anger were terrifying and it was a coping mechanism that I learnt when I ran away from the pack the first time. Ever since I hated being bullied, pushing back by any means necessary has been the way I survived and this was one of the few times I was going to regret it and there was no way I could take back my words. Even if he had managed to believe that I had nothing to do with the flash, he wasn’t going to let this slide. This was what they were scared of in the first place and I just served myself on a platter of gold and I didn’t it without any self-control. “I didn’t mean that, Ken. I’m angry and rightfully so, I don’t deserve to be treated like a piece of trash because if you were in my shoes, nothing would stop you from trying to find whoever tried to kill your father.” I said, trying to salvage the situation. “That’s a good sob s

I stayed silent, my eyes darting between three of them as they watched me closely. I was still trying to come to terms with what was going on and I needed an explanation from someone as soon as possible. The flash drive Ken had mentioned earlier came to my mind again and I wondered what he was talking about. It was either he had no knowledge about what he was saying or he was trying to frame me up for something I knew z nothing about. I knew I couldn’t trust him to start with but I didn’t expect he would betray me so easily before I had the chance to put my contingency plans in order. That was my only mistake and it was the only thing I regretted. Ken saw the hesitation written all over my face and he nodded before turning to face his partners. “Can I speak to her alone?” He asked. “I don’t think that’s going to be a good idea, Ken.” The strange man said. “We’ve already talked about this and everyone has their own role to play, you know better than to intrude on someone else’s
