Comforting Blanket

Jeremy pov:

I could feel my heart breaking as I buried my face in Maggie's embrace, tears streaming down my face like a river.

She held me tightly, her voice soothing as she whispered, "Please, Jer, I can't see you like this."

I pulled away, wiping my face and gazing into her eyes. I could see the worry etched on her face.

"You didn't even cry this much when your best friend Oliver kidnapped you," she said.

I tried to explain, but the words caught in my throat.

"That's because, at that time, I knew that no matter what happened, Steve would always be by my side. But now he's saying that everything that's happening is because of our relationship. Because of me..." I trailed off, unable to continue.

As Maggie and I stood face to face, her gaze bore into mine with an unwavering intensity that sent shivers down my spine. I could feel the warmth of her fingers as they delicately brushed against my cheek, sending a wave of tenderness through me.
