My heart was pounding as Oliver approached me with an apologetic expression.
"I'm sorry, Jeremy. I acted foolish," he said before embracing me tightly.
For a moment, I froze, unsure of how to react. But as I felt his warmth and sincerity, I couldn't help but hug him back, a small smile creeping onto my face.
Finally, after days of icy silence, we were talking again. I couldn't describe the relief I felt.
"You made breakfast? It smells so good. let's go and eat," he said, already making his way to the house.
I opened my mouth to protest, but he was already gone. I shook my head, a mix of emotions swirling inside me.
