The Bait

The frosty gusts of chilly night stabbed her continuously as she quickened her pace towards the dungeon. The crescent moon smiling from above but she could find no humor in the situation. If anything her heart was aching. Wiping her tears, she descended into the dungeon. The guards stopped her but only to do a curtsey and side step when they saw her face. Living in castle came with additinal benefits. One was being treated as a royal. It wasn't applicable in college but the royal servants held her in his esteem.

She clattered down the stairs and started scouring through the bars. She let her instincts lead her to him or maybe it was her heart as she soon found herself in front of him, separated only by cold bars. Standing in front of the bar, he was already waiting for her. He had already caught her celestial scent.

A wave of sadness hit her with full force when she saw him. Her face contorted before a sob rose in her throat. She stepped forward and clutched the bars.
