Chapter 23

‘Mother’ a voice echoed from the door as the old lady was about to open up to Megan.

‘Paul, you are back?’ she asked.

‘Hmm, is dinner ready? I am starving,’ he said with a tired tone before sitting on the couch. Megan clenched his fist as he joined his uncle on the couch.

‘Uncle’ he called out and Paul stared at him for a while before closing his eyes. He was tired and needed to retire as soon as possible.

‘I came to check on Kyle, but the old lady said she was not home’ he said hoping that he will tell him about Kyle’s location.

‘She is fine, no need to check on her….I will send your greetings’ he said and stood up to leave.

‘Everyone in the family thinks she is in a physiatric home, I am the only one who knows her location…so don’t bother that old lady about it’ he said then walked upstairs to his room.
