The sharp cries of my son echoed through the hospital room, each word cutting into me like glass.

"You’re a bad person! You ruined everything! We were happy before you came!"

The room had gone eerily silent, save for Jordan’s sobs. The walls of the sterile white hospital seemed to close in on me, suffocating me. My nails dug into my palm as I fought to control my trembling breath.

Then, a sharp shuffle of footsteps.

The nurse rushed in, looking bewildered. Her gaze darted between Jordan’s tear-streaked face and my frozen stance at the door. "What’s going on here?" she asked, her voice laced with concern.

Jordan sniffled, his small hands balling into fists as he wiped at his face. "She—" he hiccuped, pointing an accusing finger at me. "She’s ruining everything! Daddy and Aunt Joey and I are happy together. She’s the bad one!"

The nurse’s lips parted slightly, her brows knitting together. From where she stood, it must have looked like I was the intruder, forcing my way into a peaceful f

Haley’s POV:The hospital smelled like disinfectant and something sharp that clung to the air. I held Lily’s small hand in mine as we walked down the polished corridor. Her steps were light, almost skipping, and her excitement made me smile despite the heaviness inside my chest.“Mommy, will Grandma be better now?” Lily asked, looking up at me with wide hopeful eyes.“Yes, sweetheart,” I said softly. “The doctors are taking care of her. She’s getting better.”Logan walked beside us, his hands in his pockets, his jaw tense. He looked relieved but still worried, the kind of worry that doesn’t fade easily.Lily tugged at his sleeve. “Daddy, can I give her my cards today? I made so many!”Logan finally smiled, a small one. He brushed her hair lovingly. “Yes, you can. She’ll be very happy to see them.”But I noticed the way his eyes kept darting towar

Author’s POV:The mansion was quiet that night, the kind of silence that seemed heavy and strange. The rain outside had stopped, leaving the garden damp and glistening. Peter walked up the marble stairs, his leather bag slung across his shoulder. He had been waiting for this day. For weeks, he had been tracking Haley’s trail, and finally, last night, the pieces had fallen together. Veronica had asked him for years to find her daughter, and at last, Peter had good news to bring. He smiled faintly as he knocked on her bedroom door.“Madam Veronica? It’s Peter. I have something important to tell you.”There was no answer.Peter frowned. Usually, Veronica would call him in immediately, her voice warm but firm. Today, there was only silence. He pushed the door open carefully. The curtains were half-drawn, and the morning light filtered into the room in muted streaks. Veronica was lying on her bed, her scarf draped loosely across her chest. For a moment, Peter thought she was asleep.“Madam

Suasn's POV:The week passed in silence, but it was not the comforting kind. It was the kind of silence that gnawed at me from the inside out.Every tick of the clock grew louder. Every creak of the old mansion echoed like a whisper against my ear. I could almost imagine voices behind the walls, murmuring, reminding me that time was running out. Then one evening, as the sky turned a deep gray and rain tapped gently against the window, my phone buzzed. My heart jumped into my throat when I saw the name. Mr. Clarke.I answered so fast my voice cracked.“Tell me you found her.”On the other end, his calm, measured tone carried a hint of something I didn’t like.“Not yet. It is… complicated. Records are missing. Whoever hid her covered their tracks well.”My stomach dropped as if a hole had opened beneath me. “You promised me. You said you’d find her or prove she doesn’t exist!

  • My Ex-husband And Son Wants Me Back After Divorce   Chapter 148 Perfect daughter she never was.

Susan's POV:I remembered the first time I saw her.Veronica Green.Even now, her image remained clear in my mind—the elegant woman in a velvet gown, diamonds sparkling on her fingers, as her music filled the grand concert hall. She was European royalty, a name whispered in awe wherever she went. Not just a pianist but a cultural icon, sitting on boards of multinational foundations, her signature funding projects across countries. And me?I was a hungry child, dirty and desperate, sneaking into the back of the hall to steal a piece of bread from the refreshments table.“Stop her!” someone had shouted, and I remembered the hot flush of shame crawling up my neck as two ushers caught me by the arm.“She’s just a thief,” one of them had said. “We’ll call the police.”“No, wait.”Her voice had stopped them. Smooth, calm, commanding.Veronica Green hersel

  • My Ex-husband And Son Wants Me Back After Divorce   Chapter 147 Night of shadows.

Haley’s POV:The house was unusually quiet that night. I had tried to stay awake, but exhaustion won in the end. Between the failed book signing, the accident, Vivian’s attempt, and all the chaos in the hospital, my body finally gave in.I don’t remember when I slipped under the blankets. All I knew was the comfort of Lily’s giggles earlier, Jordan’s soft “Goodnight, Mom,” and Logan’s promise before he left the room: “I’ll be back soon. Sleep.”But peace never lasted long for me.The dream came like a wave.I was back on the stage at the book signing. People clapped, lights flashed, but suddenly the room darkened. Vivian stepped forward from the shadows, a gun in her hand. Her face twisted, eyes burning with hatred.“You don’t deserve him!” she screamed. “You don’t deserve anything!”The sound of a gunshot ripped through my chest. I f

  • My Ex-husband And Son Wants Me Back After Divorce   Chapter 146 The truth comes out.

Logan's POV:The hospital room was quiet except for the slow, steady beep of the monitor. My mother’s hand felt frail in mine, her skin cool but warm enough to remind me she was alive. Alive. After so many nights when I thought I had lost her forever, she was finally breathing in front of me again. Her eyelids fluttered, and I leaned in quickly.“Mother?” I whispered. Her lips trembled. No sound at first. Then, faint and broken, I caught words.“…the… car…” Her breath rattled. “…the… brakes…”My heart stopped.I squeezed her hand. “What do you mean? What about the brakes?”But her eyes slid closed again. She had drifted back into sleep.“Logan,” Peter said quietly from the other side of the bed. “Don’t force her. Her mind and body are fragile. Let her recover.”I nodded, though my jaw clenc
