Chapter 5

  \"Is he Jonathan Qiao?\"

  Ren Fei nodded.

\"So this is the urgent matter that Lucas needs to deal with,\" Oliver said with a small laugh. He began to turn back, then suddenly thought of something. He grabbed Ren Fei\'s wrist. \"Uncle Ren, didn\'t you say that I’ll only be here for two days? Can I go back now? I don\'t want to stay here, I don\'t want to be here for another moment.\"

Jonathan Qiao wanted to go back home, because he knew what being here in the hospital meant.

Lucas was looking forward to Jonathan Qiao’s return, and it meant only one thing. His health or his life in exchange for that man’s.

\"Uncle Ren, can we go back now?\"

  \"I\'m afraid not!\"

When he turned around, he saw that Jonathan Qiao was now nestled in Lucas\'s arms. He held on to Lucas\'s shoulder with his hands close to each other. After looking up and down at him, Jonathan Qiao turned his eyes to Lucas. \"Is this the man you’re in love with?\"

\"Nonsense, you’re the only one I love!\" Lucas bowed his head averted his eyes to avoid Oliver’s. \"We didn’t even have a marriage certificate. We just lived together, that’s all. He forced himself on me, wasn’t even my decision to live with him...\" Lucas awkwardly trailed off.

\"Besides, I have been waiting for you for so many years, is it not enough to prove my love?\"

  Jonathan smiled coyly. \"Really?\".

  \"Of course. Ask Ren Fei.\"

\"Yes, Mr. Huo has been waiting for you,\" Ren Fei said and respectfully bowed, “Madam.\"

The three of them, talking to each other in pleasant tones, almost like a family. I’m alone, among strangers, Oliver thought.

  Enemies, he corrected himself.

Yes, Lucas was obviously an enemy. Lucas had never even taken a picture with him. There wasn’t even a marriage photo, let alone a marriage certificate.

He head over heels in love that he never saw it coming. He had abandoned his home and moved to the Villa. Now he realized that Lucas had let him live in his mansion for three years, to isolate him from the people that cared about him.

He had left his family, so he was wiped from his family’s genealogy records.

Just like that, Lucas said it to his face. Though he spoke to Jonathan he had said it right in front of him, that blatant lie. He forced himself on me. It wasn’t even my decision.

Oliver wanted to say something, but changed his mind. He just clenched his fist, turned around faintly, and said, \"Uncle Ren, I’m tired. I want to sleep.\"

\"Wait,\" Jonathan Qiao stopped him. \"Can the two of us share a room?\"

\"Why?\" Huo frowned. He didn’t like the idea of the two of them spending time alone.

\"Because he was very much involved in your life.\" Jonathan Qiao paused, turned his eyes, and slowed down. \"There’s so much I want to learn form him.\"
