Chapter 5: The Meeting

Weylin chose to ignore his siblings and then walked out of his mother's room.

Arlen felt bad for him but of course he couldn't do anything about it. He knew very well about his father's wishes.

Once he made up his mind on something, he couldn't be beaten. Everything he said was a must.

It was Arlen who felt one of his father's absolute decisions.

Several years ago, he had to leave the Malachy household to live on his own.

The reason was, Ansgar kicked him out after Arlen was caught skipping several courses on his campus.

Arlen was actually appointed by Ansgar to become Weylin's deputy director and confidante at the company. But because Arlen was never interested in business, he never took college seriously.

Even, Ansgar caught his second son taking part in a fashion competition.

Ansgar was furious at that time. He didn't give Arlen a chance to prove himself that he could be successful as a designer.

Without hesitation, Ansgar chased his second son away and never wanted to see him again.

Arlen was the only son who could not complete his education in college.

After he was kicked out of the large Malachy family home, he started living independently and started to become a professional designer.

And after many years, he was able to prove to his father that he could be a successful and famous designer at the same time.

Neal patted Arlen on the back and it snapped him out of his reverie.

"What?" Arlen asked.

"We need to see our future sister-in-law."

Neal then turned his head and looked at Keiran who was still sleepy.

"Did you not sleep last night?" he asked.

Keiran shook his head then replied, "I just got home at six. And then my manager took me to do a photoshoot for the endorsement at seven. It just finished at eleven."

"After that, I have to meet the producer to discuss the new single I just finished. I arrived at here at three. Can you imagine how I want to sleep now?"

Keiran explained with a tired face.

Arlen just felt that his brother was too busy.

He then said, "Take a day off Arlen. Can't you? I know you are young but you can't push yourself to the point where you spend all your time working. Don't you want some time to yourself?"

"Arlen is right. Don't overwork. Remember, health is everything," Neal added.

Keiran smiled at his brothers. He knew his siblings cared deeply about him.

That's why when he was really tired after doing crazy work, he forced himself to meet them. Weylin would have done the same if he was there.

But he understood very well why his eldest brother didn't do that now. He was still confused about the engagement.

"Hey, what do you think about the engagement? Will it work?"

Keiran asked because he was really curious.

Keiran felt that day would be one of the most extraordinary days for Weylin.

"I don't know. You know that Weylin can be unpredictable sometimes. Do you remember what he did when dad slapped me after I was caught by him when I started racing? He stood up for me. He told dad to let me go. It was something I never predicted before. He sacrificed himself to defend me."

Neal would always remember what Weylin did. He was the one who got his father to give him the approval to become a racer.

"How could I forget that? He is a hero for us. And I feel bad because when he needs our help right now but I can't do anything for him now."

Arlen sighed. He was feeling useless being Weylin's brother.

"Okay, let's meet them!" Neal said.

Neal dragged his siblings down quickly but Arlen held him back and instead peeked through the curtains on the second floor.

Neal and Keiran were forced to follow Arlen's gaze. Weylin stood with a stiff expression as he was forced to greet his father's best friend.

He and his parents were waiting for them at the door.

"Should we wait like this, Dad?" Weylin complained.

It was the first time in his life he had to do such a thing.

Too embarrassing. It was as if he was impatiently waiting for the family of his future fiancé.

"We have to do it. We have to respect them. Ah, here they come."

Ansgar Malachy smiled broadly and Zuria touched his son.

"Be nice to them. Can you please, son? Don't make your father angry. I know you know him better," Zuria said.

Weylin didn't know why this had happened to him.

A black car with an old type arrived at the parking area. Then, the woman in red and the fat old man got out of the car.

Weylin lazily looked at them but then he widened his eyes when there was a girl in a white dress who also got down from the car.

Weylin froze in place.

She was indeed beautiful but what made him freeze was not because of her beauty.

It was because that girl was the same girl he had met at the club last night. That noisy girl.

Oh no! This can't be real. It's that girl. Oh Lord. Take my life right now, Weylin thought.

"Uh, welcome, Andrew. Finally, we can meet again."

They hugged because they had not seen each other for a long time.

"Welcome to our house, madam." Zuria also hugged Leana.

They smiled.

Kelsey was nervous because she knew that Malachy's son was looking at her like he really hated her.

Why did he do that? We just met, Kelsey thought confusedly.

"Oh, this must be Kelsey, right? Ah, you are so beautiful, honey."

Zuria was amazed by Kelsey who did look very beautiful.

Kelsey smiled nervously.

Weylin looked into her eyes and said nothing.

Ansgar glared at Weylin as if to warn his son and then Weylin just said, "Welcome, Sir and Ma'am."

Leana felt that the man was very cold but she then replied, "You are very charming just like your mother said."

Leana smiled and Weylin, who still knew manners, tried to return the smile.

"Oh, okay. Come on in. Our children are also here. They also want to witness the engagement."

Kelsey bit her lip hard.

Weylin stared at his lips then he felt strange. He's nervous.

They looked at each other but then both looked away simultaneously. They pretend not to look at each other.

On the second floor, Arlen smiled.

"It will be very interesting," he said.

Keiran knew what Arlen was saying and he also smiled then said ,"This will be fun. Their engagement looks like it will be successful."

Neal looked at them confused. "Why?"

"Didn't you see them?" Keiran said.

Neal shook his head and said, "I don't know what you mean."

"Tell me!" Neal said again.

Keiran averted his gaze lazily. He didn't understand why his older brother was so slow to think.

"You are older than me. But why don't you know what's going on with them? You can tell by looking at them once," Keiran explained.

Neal still didn't understand and shouted, "I don't know what you mean. Can you explain that more clearly?"
