Chapter Thirty Eight

Jessica’s POV

I put on the cap and jacket again and rode to the back seat of the van. Cindy was still laughing when she stepped on the gas.

“You're still the best! God! I could see Fabio’s furious face right now.” Cindy laughed.

She was talking about the scene that I made at the hospital so no one could see her at Sphinx’s room.

“A simple thank you is enough. No need to rub it on my face.” I rolled my eyes and looked back at the hospital.

Some of the staff and patients were still waving at us.

Sphinx was still unconscious when Cindy left him. She made a note and put it in his left pocket.

Cindy will check on him again tomorrow morning.
