Chapter 8

Andrea Qin sat down, her mind blank. Suddenly, she felt a surge of joy.

But immediately, the joy became pain.

She had worked hard, trying to get pregnant for three years, but she was never pregnant with Charlie\'s child. Now that she had less than two months to live, she was suddenly pregnant.

Andrea Qin shakily touched her lower abdomen, tingling like a needle, tears streaming from her eyes.

\"Jeffrey Su, I\'m pregnant!\" Usually calm, she now burst into tears, like a child. \"But I\'m dying, how can I give birth to it, it’ll die with me, what should I do?\"

Jeffrey Su sat down. He knew she wasn’t going to like what he had to say next.

\"Abort it, I will help you find a foreign expert, we will extend your life!\"

\"You want me to kill the child?\" Andrea Qin was taken aback, completely cold.

\"Yes, you know your body will not be able to handle it.”

\"No!\" Andrea Qin stood up. Tightly, she clutched her belly, as if to protect the embryo inside. She thought she had lost everything, but now she has a precious child!

  How can she abort it?

\"Jeffrey. Please help me keep this child! This is the only thing Charlie and I can have together. I don\'t want to lose it!\"

\"Andrea Qin! You’re talking about your child, but in the end it’s all for Charlie!\"

Jeffrey Su rose up in anger, the blue veins in his forehead nearly bursting, and shouted. \"Do you love him so much? Then why don\'t you tell him the truth! It wasn’t you who made his father jump off the building. You didn’t kill him by injection! You were innocent, so why do you have to bear everything alone?\"

\"Why don\'t you tell him, are you afraid that he will regret blaming you? Or are you afraid that he won\'t be able to accept it? Is he worth your life?\" Jeffrey Su\'s angry voice echoed in the room. He was usually gentle in front of her. This was the first time she had ever seen him have an outburst.

Her friend hated Charlie, and this hurt her even more.

Andrea Qin stared at him blankly, then suddenly covered her face with her hands. Tears streamed from her fingers and her shoulders trembled violently.

  \"Yes, I\'m trash. I\'m a piece of shit, I can\'t stop myself from loving him.\"

In fact, Andrea Qin knew in her heart that she only had three months to live, and even if Jeffrey Su resorted to extreme methods, she would not be able to keep her own child. But to kill her child in exchange for a longer life, it was unthinkable. She couldn\'t do it! This was the last link between her and Charlie, this was his blood!

Even if she knew that there was a raging fire ahead, she was willing to be a moth and burn herself.

The excitement caused Andrea Qin to cough violently and spit out a mouthful of blood.

\"Andrea!\" Jeffrey had a worried expression on his face..

\"My medicine...\" Andrea Qin kept coughing while covering her mouth, and fumbled for the medicine.

Jeffrey Su immediately pulled out the medicine bottle from her bag, poured out two of them and handed them over. He then saw that the trash can was almost filled with blood-stained paper balls, his eyes flashing in shock.

  \"Andrea, you’re...\"

\"I am already in the advanced stage of lung cancer, and the best specialists can\'t save me. I would rather forgo treatment and just keep the child.\" Andrea Qin stood up, swaying, her face white as paper, but her eyes flashed with determination. \"I’m losing Charlie, but I want to keep his child, otherwise Charlie will be alone.\"

\"Andrea Qin...you are so stupid, you are crazy for him...I wish I was him.\" Jeffrey Su muttered.

He wanted to hold her tightly in his arms, but couldn\'t.

He knew that Andrea had made up her mind. \"Okay, I promise.\"

Andrea slowly walked to the door of Charlie\'s office.

The lung cancer had spread to her whole body. At this point, each step she took felt like she was stepping on the tip of a knife. Even her bones were in pain. The painkillers barely worked.

She took the medicine bottle with a trembling hand, poured out all the remaining painkillers, stuffed it down her throat, and pushed open the office door.

If you want to keep the child, you must divorce Charlie as soon as possible. You need space.

If she manages to last for a month longer, that is.

Andrea\'s eyes were in a daze. The moment she pushed the door open, she transformed into a different person. She looked calm and walked in with her back straight.

When he looked up, his eyes froze.

Charlie stood by the desk with his hands on the table. Lovingly, he looked at Brenda who was sitting on his chair. Brenda was trying on the wedding ring, and the diamonds were shining brightly.

The sunlight outside the window enveloped the two, and the picture was warm.

Andrea Qin stood numb, like a bucket of magma had been poured into her heart, hot and painful. Hearing movement, Charlie looked up and saw that it was her, his eyes quickly turned cold, and he stared at her silently.

Instead, Brenda stood up awkroomly and whispered. \"Andrea, I\'m leaving now.\"

\"No need.\" Charlie grabbed her arm, yanked her into his arms and hugged her, staring at Andrea Qin ironically. \"Mrs. Qin, can I help you?\"

Andrea Qin took a hard breath, she calmly raised her head, and met his hateful eyes. The sunshine seemed to twinkle in them. The two of them had been married for three years, but the hatred in his eyes was cold and bitter.

Andrea’s metastasized cancer caused severe pain in her whole body. She had exhausted all her strength simply by standing like this.

\"I\'m sorry.\" Charlie\'s tone was full of sarcasm. \"Brenda is going to be the mother of my child, and I need to spend time with her, so I can\'t be with you today. You know, every time I did it with you this month, I’d be sick all day long.\"

\"I apologize for making you sick.\" Andrea Qin said softly, and her nostalgic gaze outlined every inch of his face and carved it into her heart. She didn\'t say anything else, causing Charlie to frown and pull off his tie in annoyance. She usually reacted more dramatically, and he enjoyed seeing her pain. He liked watching her sad and crying.

  Something’s going on.

Seeing that he couldn\'t get to her today, Charlie was enveloped by frustration. He tried again, \"Andrea, I have some good news. Brenda and I are going to book a trip abroad...\"

  \"Alright.\"

This time, Andrea Qin interrupted him, leaned on the desk weakly, gasping for breath.

\"This is a divorce agreement, please sign it.\"
