DOMINIC’S POV

By the time my mind finally cleared—after the run, after the burn of humiliation and the sting of self-loathing had dulled into something manageable—I buried myself back into work. Pack affairs had fallen behind, and I had no excuse left to hide behind. But just as I started reviewing patrol shifts and trade reports, a sharp knock broke the fragile silence.

My mother entered like a storm cloud, her arms folded tightly across her chest, face set in that familiar disapproving mask. "Dominic," she said, "we need to talk."

I didn’t look up right away. "What is it, Mother?"

She closed the door behind her with unnecessary force and stalked forward. "Where were you last night?"

I tilted my head and raised a brow. "Out."

"Out where?"

My jaw tensed. "Since when do you track my movements like a bloodhound? I’m Alpha, not a teenager sneaking out past curfew."

"I’m asking because people are talking," she snapped. "The servants saw you leave, and you didn’t come back until morning. W

  • My Mate Chose The Bitch Who Hurt Our Baby    Chapter 69 A CHEAP ALPHA

DOMINIC’S POVI stood outside Olivia’s door for what felt like an eternity. My hand hovered above the doorknob, but I never knocked. The cool night air brushed against my skin, and for once, I didn’t feel like an Alpha. I felt… pathetic. She had tossed a hundred-dollar bill at me like I was some common escort—like I meant nothing. Is that what I am to her now? Just a body? The moment flashed in my mind again. The soft flutter of that note landing on the sheets, her eyes cold and unreadable. My heart clenched in my chest, each beat a fresh stab of humiliation.“I can’t believe she did that to us,” I muttered aloud.“You deserved that,” my wolf snapped, though his voice wasn’t filled with cruelty—it was calm, too calm. “But you’re letting your ego speak now, not your heart.”I gritted my teeth. “Don’t defend her.”“She’s hurting, just like you.” My wolf said.“Hurt or not, that was a low blow!” I snarled, fists clenching by my side. “I feel…used. Cheap. Do you know what that feels like

  • My Mate Chose The Bitch Who Hurt Our Baby    Chapter 68 THE PRICE OF ONE NIGHT

OLIVIA’S POVI stood by the window, arms crossed, watching Dominic through the window glass still lying on my bed.A part of me still trembled from the intensity of last night—the way his touch undid me, unraveled every wall I had painstakingly built around my heart. It wasn’t just the physical surrender. It was the way he looked at me, touched me, like I was still his. Like nothing had changed. But everything had changed.I hated how easily my body gave in while my heart screamed in protest. I hated the weakness I saw in myself, the part of me that still responded to him, still longed for him—even after everything. I knew I had to draw a line. A sharp, irrevocable line.Because if I didn’t, he’d get the wrong idea. He’d think we still had a chance. But we don’t.That ship had sailed the night he left me bleeding, broken, and pregnant. Whatever happened last night wasn’t lov

DOMINIC’S POVI stood outside her door for what felt like forever, my forehead resting lightly against the wood.I could sense her lingering presence inside—pacing, hesitating, breathing me in just as I breathed her in.Come on, Liv, I thought desperately. Just say it. Call me back. Give me a sign.My wolf whined inside me, ears pinned back, hopeful. But after a long minute with no sound, I shook my head grimly.I'm pushing my luck, she is far too gone.Just as I was about to turn away, her soft voice floated through the door."Come in... we need to talk."I froze, my heart slamming against my ribs, before reaching for the handle. The door creaked open, revealing Olivia standing there in the middle of the room, arms crossed protectively across her chest, fire flashing in her eyes despite the pink blush that dusted her cheeks."Liv..." I breathed, stepping inside cautiously. The scent in t

OLIVIA’S POVSo many questions raced through my mind all at once. What is he doing here?Is he here to assert another form of dominance—try to overpower me again?Or maybe... maybe he’s here to apologize? But knowing Dominic, I scoffed inwardly. He never apologizes. He only takes what he wants—and never once feels remorse for the destruction he leaves behind.Yet... when I looked deeper into his eyes—those molten, sorrowful golden eyes—I realized something. It wasn't him.It wasn't Dominic. It was his wolf.A whisper escaped my lips before I could stop it."Dominic... no. Your wolf?"His massive form stood silent, head bowed slightly, almost... reverent. And suddenly, without warning, my wolf surged forward—answering a call that was older than either of us.The mate bond.I gasped as my body moved without permission. Before I could brace myself, I found myself reaching out—tentative, trembling—and gently nuzzling the thick fur at his shoulder.Dominic’s wolf—a magnificent, towering be

DOMINIC’S POVI tossed and turned all night, the sheets twisted and strangling me like chains I couldn’t break free from. Sleep was a cruel dream, taunting me from just beyond my reach. No matter how many times I slammed my eyes shut, all I could see—burned into the back of my mind—was her.Olivia.Standing tall, standing proud, her arms folded across her chest as if to hold herself together, staring at me with those eyes...Eyes that once looked at me with so much love—now filled with nothing but betrayal and heartbreak. It gutted me.It destroyed me.How the hell was I supposed to forget that look? How was I supposed to live with myself after seeing it—knowing I had put that pain there?I gritted my teeth, punching the mattress uselessly. "Fuck!" I growled into the empty room. How do you forget the sight of your mate standing before you, breaking apart right in front of your eyes, while you turned your back?I feel it now. I finally feel it—the sharp, splintering agony of abandonmen
