(Almira’s POV)

He’s Reginald Hitwell? How could I not recognize his face! He’s the ex-chairman of MW Group before Lysander became the CEO. This can't be real.

My breath catches in my throat.

He’s here in my house. What other possible reasons could it be other than the fact that his grandson and I did something we shouldn't have that night at the cruise ship.

Does… Does he know?

He tilted his head, studying me like I’m some puzzle he’s trying to solve. “I’ve been looking forward to meeting you, Almira.”

He knows my name.

Of course, he does. He even knows where I live. I’m in so much trouble!

My legs feel like they might give out any time soon. I have never met someone so intimidating in my life. His stares alone are enough for me to know that he doesn't like me. Then why? What brought him here?

"How… How do you know my name?" I asked, trying to play dumb.

He stepped closer, and I instinctively backed away, only to bump into the men behind me. I glanced quickly at them before turning to

“Abort the child. It’s nothing personal, of course. I’m simply protecting the Hitwell bloodline. We can’t have it tainted by… well…” His eyes flicked over me with disdain. “Someone like you.”I stared at him, horrified. “You can’t be serious.”“Oh, I’m very serious,” he replied smoothly. “You’re an Omega living in poverty. Do you really think you can raise a child on your own? And don’t even think about relying on Lysander. He has a future to protect—a future with Rachelle.”Tears pricked at my eyes, but I refused to let them fall. “I’ll raise my baby,” I said firmly. “I don’t need anything from him. Or from you.”Reginald smirked. “How noble. But let’s not kid ourselves. I know you’ll use that baby as a weapon soon enough. I’m not stupid to let that happen.” He turns toward the door, signaling to his guards. “A car will fetch you tomorrow morning. You’ll be taken to MW Hospital. Don’t worry about the abortion cost. I’ll take care of it.”I stood frozen, unable to believe what I’m hea

(Almira’s POV)[The Next Day]“Are you sure about this, Almira?”“Yes,” I said, pursing my lips. “It was the only way. I had no other choice.”He sets the cup of hot coffee down, leaning back in his chair. “I know they’re powerful. But you didn't have to—”“They won’t,” I cut him off. “We did everything right. You were a big help. Thank you, Rich.”He opens his mouth to reply, but the sound of a loud, rapid banging at the door freezes us both.*BLAG!* *BLAG!* *BLAG!*My heart jumps into my throat. We don't even have to open that door to know that it’s Alpha Reginald and his men again. I know that they’d find us. They were watching me.Rich and I glanced at each other. He sighed as he stood, his body tense. “Stay here,” he said.I grabbed his arm before he could walk away. “It’s him,” I whispered. He looks at me for a moment, then nods. “I know…”I shook my head. I’m scared.Rich gently holds my hand.“It’s going to be fine. Trust me.”The banging continued, until we couldn't ignore it

(Almira’s POV)I sit on the couch with my phone pressed against my ear, biting my lip as I wait for the call to connect. No answer. Again.I sighed as I stared at the screen like I can will them to call back. It’s been weeks since my parents left for their so-called vacation, and they haven’t checked in once.Where are they really? Why do they have to leave for vacation at the time I needed them the most?Something about this doesn’t sit right with me. They’re not the type to just disappear. Especially not when I’m dealing with… well, this.I glanced up when I heard the sound of footsteps approaching. I saw Rich walking into the room, carrying a glass of orange juice and a sandwich on a small plate. He’s really thoughtful.I remember he called me to eat lunch earlier in the kitchen, but I refused. Now, he’s bringing the food to me here in the guest room. Such a good friend.“Here,” he said, setting them down on the coffee table in front of me. “You need to eat.”“I’m not hungry,” I mu

(Almira’s POV)Announcing an unexpected pregnancy this year wasn't part of my plan.I bit my lip nervously.Dad always tells me to be careful when it comes to those kinds of things because we don't know when my fated mate will show up.I don't know. They always tell me that growing up—to wait for my mate.Well, that's before Liam betrayed me because I really thought he was the one. I just don't want to believe in love at this point.“Almira,” my mom cuts in, calling me by my real name, which just made things so much worse for me. “Does Liam know you're pregnant?”Rich and I glanced at each other.“He… He’s not the father.”“What do you mean he’s not the father, Almira?”“Uhmmm…”I hesitated, glancing at Rich, who’s watching me closely. “It’s… Lysander Hitwell.”Another heavy silence fills the line.I chewed my lips.I don't need to give them the complete details for them to know who Lysander is. His surname alone is enough to introduce how powerful he is.“The Alpha?” my dad confirmed

  • My One-Night-Stand Alpha   Chapter 12 Accident

(Lysander’s POV)I sat quietly in the car. The engine is off, and I’m parked a little way down the street from the address Beta Mid gave me. My hands are gripping the steering wheel tightly as my eyes stay glued to the house ahead.I don’t know what I’m expecting to see. I don’t even know what I’m doing here. But Mid told me Almira was staying here. I gave him the order to track her because I needed answers. The documents my father shoved in my face keep replaying in my mind.I need to know if they’re real. If she really took the money and…I swallowed hard. It’s impossible, right? What kind of woman could do something so evil? It might not be long, but I know that she’s not the kind who’d kill her own blood. I’m more convinced that it’s my father planting lies inside my head again. He always does that to make me do what he wants.A few minutes later the door finally opened, and there she was. Almira. She stepped out onto the porch, clutching her bag like she was trying to hide someth

(Almira’s POV)“Hmmm…” I opened my eyes, and the first thing I saw was the familiar white ceiling. I blinked a few times, trying to remember how I got myself in here. Am I in a hospital? My body feels sore all over. And that’s when the car accident went crashing back inside my head. I felt my hands fly to my stomach in an instant, and panic grips me so hard it makes my breath hitch.“Doctor—someone, please!” I screamed desperately.“Mira, stop.”I didn’t listen to the voice, screaming.“Calm down! You’re going to hurt your baby!”And that’s when I stopped.Rich gently pressed me down on the shoulders to keep me from sitting up too fast. His touch was firm but careful, like he knows I’m already fragile. I looked at him with watered eyes.“Rich,” I gasped, gripping his arm. “My baby—”“They’re okay,” he interrupted before I could finish my sentence. His voice was low and steady as he softly wiped the tears off my face. “You’re okay.”Tears blurred my vision.Memories went crashing back

  • My One-Night-Stand Alpha   Chapter 14 Club

(Lysander’s POV)“Wooohhh! Let’s party!”The sound of people cheering and dancing filled my ears. The club music is ringing my eardrums, while the whiskey burns as it slides down my throat. But that didn’t stop me from drinking. I didn’t even slow down. I drank it like water.I let it flood my system, dulling the mixture of rage and betrayal I’m feeling inside.“Woooohh!”Loud music pounds through the club as women surround me. Their hands are trailing over my arms, and their bodies are pressing against mine. One is straddling my lap, while her fingers are tracing lazy circles over my chest.I looked at her with blurred vision.“Lysander,” she purred, leaning in, her breath hot against my neck. I can feel her pressing her boobs to me.I didn’t react. I could barely hear her.I’m at a party, but my mind is somewhere else. It keeps replaying the same fucking thing. I’m stuck in a loop of memories I can’t erase. Almira’s face—her eyes, her scent, the way she felt in my arms that night. T

  • My One-Night-Stand Alpha   Chapter 15 Italy

(Almira’s POV)The wind is howling in my ears as the boat rocks over the dark waves. It’s around 2 AM in the morning, and it’s pitch darkness here on water. The only thing that's giving us light is the small lamp that the sailor brought.I pulled my coat tighter around me, but it’s not enough to fight off the cold creeping into my bones. It didn't take long before Rich noticed.Without a word, he moved closer, and wrapped an arm around me. His warmth calmed my shaking body. I let out a quiet sigh as I leaned into him.“You should sleep,” he said.I closed my eyes, feeling the air blowing into my face.“I’ll take care of everything.”I hesitated.I’m not the biggest fan of any bodies of water. I’m practically traumatized with the thought of sinking into the darkness beneath. The sea is unpredictable, and something about traveling at night unsettles me.But then I felt the exhaustion pull at my limbs. It’s probably the hormones and medicine that I took before I left the hospital. With e

  • My One-Night-Stand Alpha   Chapter 88 They Know

(Rachelle’s POV)Later that eveningThe night is soft and heavy with the scent of pine and late-blooming jasmine. The wind hums outside my window, stirring the curtains like a lullaby. It should be calming. But I’m wired.Because they didn’t push me away today.Hazel didn’t glare as hard. Asher actually asked me a question. It was small, meaningless to someone who doesn’t know what to listen for—but to me? It was everything.“Can you do magic too?”A casual question from a curious boy, sure. But it meant he was wondering. Wondering if he could learn something from me. Wondering if I had answers that no one else had given him. And most of all—if I was different from the grown-ups who only saw his power as something to control. That’s how it starts. It always starts with wonder.Hazel, though… Hazel is different. She’s the hard one. Not

  • My One-Night-Stand Alpha   Chapter 87 Innocence

(Hazel’s POV)That night, I didn’t sleep. The cake Rachelle brought was still sitting on my windowsill, getting all stale and sticky. I didn’t even take a bite. I just looked at it, trying to decide if it smelled weird. It didn’t. But it still made my stomach feel funny. Not the cake.Her.I curled under my blanket and hugged Bramble, my stuffed bear. I told Mom I was too big for him now, but I wasn’t ready to let him go. Bramble didn’t judge me when I was scared, or when I had to think real hard like tonight. He just stayed.“She’s not like the others,” I whispered to him.He didn’t answer, but I pretended he was listening.Rachelle’s eyes were too shiny when she smiled. Not in a nice way, like Mom’s when we do something good. No, it was the kind of shiny that hides sharp things. Like when a fox pretends to be a friend.I touched the charm she gave

(Rachelle's POV)Hazel is quiet the rest of the visit, but she doesn’t push me away. She watches. Listens. And when I say I should get going, she stands and walks me to the door."Will you come back tomorrow?" she asks, her voice feather-light, almost fragile.I blink, surprised. “If you’d like me to.”She nods slowly. “I think I would.”And just like that, I win a sliver of trust. Or so I think.Or so I believe. The next day, I return with more treats—berry tarts this time, and a little charm I enchanted myself, something subtle. A protection token. Fake, of course, but believable enough for a child.Hazel accepts it without a word. But when I sit across from her, I notice something... off. She’s smiling. It’s small. Barely there. But it’s a real smile. And it’s not for me—it’s for herself.“Do you like ridd

  • My One-Night-Stand Alpha   Chapter 85 The Queenmaker

(Rachelle’s POV)Reginald is an idiot.A powerful idiot, yes—but still an idiot. He thinks I’m working for him. Thinks I’m here to win *his* little power struggle against Almira. He thinks I’m just a jealous mate, clinging to my position and my unborn child like it's all I’ve got.He has no idea.As I leave his office, I let my expression shift slowly back into a soft, concerned smile—just enough for the omegas walking by to see. I even rub my stomach as I pass them. Let them think I’m maternal. Harmless. That’s how you survive in a world of wolves. You act like the sheep. But I’m not here to be Reginald’s puppet or Almira’s shadow. I’m here for the twins.Hazel and Asher.I saw them once—just a glimpse—when Almira brought them inside. Hazel’s eyes locked on mine for barely two seconds, but I felt it. Raw energy. Magic that made the hairs on my arms rise. They're different. And I want them. Not because they’re cute or royal or whatever Reginald imagines. No, I want what’s *in* them. P

  • My One-Night-Stand Alpha   Chapter 84 Two-Headed Snake

(Reginald’s POV)I slam the crystal tumbler down onto the desk. Whiskey sloshes over the rim and soaks into a pile of reports I’ve already read twice. Nothing in them helps me. Just more useless updates from spies, empty words from the council, and—worst of all—nothing about how to control the damn twins. They’re under my roof, eating my food, breathing my air. But I can’t touch them. Can’t use them. Can’t even speak freely around them without Almira sniffing out my intentions. She ruined everything. She stormed in like some returning hero, claiming motherhood and moral high ground like a prize. The pack flocked to her like sheep. Even Mid—my Beta—has started tiptoeing around her like she owns the damn place.I stand up, pacing across the room. My heels echo off the marble floor, loud and angry. The children—Asher and Hazel—are something different. My Beta confirmed it. Hazel nearly melted through a silver pot in the kitchen, and Asher? He looked at one of the patrol guards, and the g

  • My One-Night-Stand Alpha   Chapter 83 Trap

(Almira’s POV)The best way to catch a snake is to make it feel safe in the grass. So I pretend. I act like I’m softening. Like I believe Rachelle’s cooing and concern. I start inviting her more often to “bond” with the twins. I don’t hover—but I watch from a distance. I let her think she’s winning.Mid and I set everything carefully. We pick a day when Damon is out with the border patrol. The pack house is quiet. The kids are painting in the garden. I leave a worn leather journal on the garden bench—the one that supposedly contains notes about the twins’ powers and some fake “ritual symbols.”It’s bait.Rachelle arrives exactly on cue.“Almira,” she says, all sweet and surprised. “You’re letting them paint outside alone now?”I smile. “They’ve been so calm lately. I think it helps them feel… grounded.”She nods. “May I?” she gestures toward the kids.“Of course,” I say. “I’ll be in the herb room. Call if you need me.”I walk away slowly, but not too far.I wait.Minutes pass. Then I

  • My One-Night-Stand Alpha   Chapter 82 I Don't Trust Her

(Almira’s POV)I don’t trust her smile. Not the one she gave my daughter when she asked if she liked painting, her voice all syrup and false warmth. Not the one she flashed at Asher when she offered him cookies she hadn’t even baked herself, pretending to care. And now, after what Mid told me… it all makes sense. She’s watching them. Not like children—but like riddles she’s desperate to solve. Every glance, every question, it’s calculated. Measured. Like she’s gathering data.I pace by the window, arms folded, eyes locked on the backyard. The kids are playing, completely unaware. So innocent. So normal. Asher’s shadow dances at his feet as he laughs, his joy loud and unfiltered. Hazel’s kneeling on the stones, drawing suns and hearts in chalk, her hair catching the light like strands of gold.

  • My One-Night-Stand Alpha   Chapter 81 The Game Begins

(Rachelle’s POV)They’re here. The twins. Almira’s children.I hear it from the servants before breakfast — whispered between dusting and folding towels. I’m sipping tea on the balcony, watching birds land on the railing like they know I’m in a mood.“Did you hear?” the younger one says, not knowing I’m listening. “The twins are back. Damon brought them straight to the Alpha’s quarters.”“Their mother too,” the older one adds, a little too loud. “She’s staying for a while.”I set my teacup down gently. The clink of porcelain is the only sound I allow. So, she’s here. Again.I rest a hand on my stomach, just enough to play the part. A gentle rub, a soft sigh. The baby bump is small, but it’s there. People soften when they see it. Men open doors. Women smile. It’s almost too easy. The first time I heard about the twins’ abilities, I didn’t believe it. It sounded like nonsense. Glowing eyes. Shadows that move. One of the servants even said Asher made a wolf go still just by looking at it

  • My One-Night-Stand Alpha   Chapter 80 Trust Issues

(Almira’s POV)The fortress looms just past the olive trees, half in ruins, half reinforced by tech that doesn’t belong in a place this ancient.Motion sensors. Night vision cams.No doubt, someone rich and dangerous has paid good money to make this dump invisible to regular eyes.We crouch behind the brush, breathing slow. Damon’s a few paces behind, watching the road. Lysander is too close to me for comfort.“You take the west wall,” I say. “I’ll go straight in.”He frowns. “You always want to be the bait, don’t you?”“I don’t trust anyone else to do it right.”“Even me?”“Especially you.”His jaw tightens. “You really think I’d let anyone touch our kids?”“I think you’ve lied to me before,” I shoot back. “You’ve made decisions like you were the only one who mattered. Forgive me if I’m not thrilled to hand you my trust again.”He doesn’t respond. Maybe because I’m right.I don’t wait for his reply. I slip through the shadows, cloak pulled over my head, senses tuned to every sound. M
