Chapter 60

Duiane’s POV

The moment Shane spoke, my blood began to boil.

“Release my daughter, and I’ll be on my way,” he said with that same arrogant tone that had probably worked for him all his life, just not here. Not in my territory. Not in my pack.

I closed my eyes and moved forward, Lessie protected in the crook of my arm. I could sense her shaking slightly, but she stood firm enough.

"You come into my school, my turf like this, then you try to give commands here?" My voice was even, but each phrase was filled with threat.

"Are you lost, Shane? Or are you simply stupid?"

Shane sighed, looking over at the crowd of students streaming into the school gates. "Don't play dumb with me. The Alpha Council said I’m free to come here and collect my daughter.
