**Elena**

"Hey, there you are!," I let out a smile as I walked toward him.

Great, smooth entrance.

Totally natural.

“Ena…” Logan’s voice was low as he dropped his arrow to his side.

“What are you doing here?” he asked, walking toward me. His brows drew together. “I thought I asked you to rest. You shouldn’t be out here.”

I rolled my eyes. “Stop being so stiff. I was bored to death in there, so I thought, why don’t I come out here and see the almighty Alpha Logan in action?”

His jaw ticked.

He stepped closer, almost whispering. “Why don’t you go back to the mansion. I’ll see…”

“Wow. Who’s this beauty who decided to grace us with her presence today?”

The voice came from behind.

I froze, then turned toward it.

A man was walking toward us with slow, confident strides. Tall, Broad shoulders. A gaze that screamed power….Definitely an Alpha.

“Cut it, Zain,” Logan said, stepping in front of me like a shield.

Alpha Zain smirked, lifting his hands in mock surrender. “C’mon, I won’t bite, Lo

**Elena**I adjusted the red silk dress, staring at my reflection in the mirror. The fabric clung to me in a way that made me both nervous and confident.Logan really does know my style… or maybe he just knows how to unsettle me.“So… what do you say? Is it to your taste?” his voice came from behind, low and teasing. His fingers brushed against the bare skin of my back as he tied the lace.My body reacted instantly…warmth rushed over me, and I hated that he could affect me so easily.“Not bad,” I cleared my throat, trying to sound casual, even though I loved it.He smiled as he came around to face me. His white shirt fit him perfectly, the bow tie the same deep red as my dress. My breath caught. God, why does he have to look this good?I quickly turned back to the mirror, forcing myself to focus. “Can you leave now? I’m trying to fix my makeup.”“You look beautiful already,” he murmured.I ignored him, opening my lipstick. But as I lifted it to my lips, a sharp pain stabbed my hea

**Elena**“Where have you been?” I asked, stepping onto the lawn. The sun was warm on my shoulders, the smell of wet earth drifting in the air.He was standing there, sleeves rolled up, watering the plants like he’d been doing it all his life. I didn’t even know he liked plants. He glanced at me once, then went right back to spraying the roses. No reply. Not even a grunt.Typical.“I never knew you had this calm side,” I said, walking closer, the grass brushing my ankles. “You were always a chatterbox.”He paused, turned his head slightly, and gave me that slow, crooked look. “What? You miss me already? Or did you get bored of my brother?”I bit back a laugh and smirked. “Well, for the record, he’s more interesting to be with than you.”That earned me a small twitch at the corner of his mouth, but he dropped the hose anyway.Water dripped onto his shoes as he stepped toward me.“What do you want, Ena?” His voice had that mix of curiosity and suspicion, like he was already guessing

**Elena**“You think you’ve won, don’t you?” Irene said, as her hand jerked my arm.I stopped mid-step, my pulse spiking, but I didn’t let her see it. I turned slowly, letting a smirk tug at my lips. She’s fuming… good.“Wait… are you feeling intimidated?” I tilted my head, my tone dripping with mock curiosity. “I thought you bragged about how he belonged to you.” I dusted off the spot where she’d touched me, making the movement exaggerated, like she’d left something dirty behind. Her nostrils flared. “You filthy bitch… you’re so shameless. You don’t know who you’re messing with!”Oh, here we go. “Who?” I let my gaze sweep over her slowly, from her hair to her heels, before meeting her eyes again. “I can’t see who it is, Irene… so please, don’t flatter yourself.”Her jaw tightened, but I didn’t give her time to recover. I leaned in just enough for my voice to carry, the smirk still glued to my face. “Now, if you’ll excuse me… I have to go back and be with my king.”I turned on my

**Xavier**SOUTH EAST BLOOD MOON PACK“Took you long enough,” Nick said, his tone softer than before, but the edge was still there.“I regret everything,” I muttered, the words scraping my throat. “And I’ll never forgive myself for it.”He frowned. “Why are you telling me this again? My accepting your apology doesn’t mean I forgive you for what you did to her.”“I’m…sorry,” I said, my voice barely above a whisper.“Yeah? Well, it’s not gonna bring her back, is it?” he fired back.“That’s enough, Nick,” Helena cut in from where she sat on the far edge of the steps. “He’s been apologizing for over a month now. It’s of no use.”My gaze drifted to the building behind me…the mansion I built here. Right here. On the exact spot I last saw something of hers. Her heels. They were lying by that old tree when I found them, as if she’d just slipped them off and walked away. Foolish, maybe… but I couldn’t leave the place empty. I told myself building here might anchor her back to me somehow. Tha

**Elena**My heart thudded so hard it felt like it would burst out of my chest. I gripped the bow, surprised by how steady my hands felt. Why did it feel like I could actually do this?A few minutes ago, my grand plan was to faint and be carried away…no embarrassment, no failure. But no, someone had to give me a little sermon about how it wasn’t fair to deceive others, how I should just try.Someone being Logan.I shot him a glare over my shoulder. He didn’t even flinch, just stepped up behind me, his big hands wrapping around my arms.Apparently, we were going to do this together. And now… now I could feel him.Close.His breath was warm against the side of my neck, carrying that faint scent of pineapple and something darker, something that made my stomach twist in ways I didn’t want to think about.“Focus, Ena”. His voice was a low whisper by my ear as we aimed at the target."I am," I whispered back, though my eyes betrayed me and darted sideways, trying to catch a glimpse of him
