Chapter 21. Caramel

CARAMEL

I woke up, feeling better than usual, only to find myself in an hospital. Then I remembered that I had slipped and passed out. It must have been Blaze who brought me here, but where was he? I slowly sat up and then the door to my ward, opened and Paul rushed in.

“Caramel, are you okay?” he asked, looking concerned.

“Uhm… I’m fine. I am better, now.” I said, with a smile.

“I heard you were abducted. Are you certain that Blaze is treating you right?”

“He is. I was just unfortunate to fall into the hands of the abductors.”

“And are you certain they didn’t abduct you because of him.”

“What do you mean?”

“You know, probably you were endangered because of him. Seeing that he has money and you were his coach and all.”

I heaved a heavy sigh and then looked back at Paul.

“Why are you so worked up about this, Paul? It almost feels like you are overreacting.”

Although, Paul was my agent and we acted like friends as well, but all this sudden care seemed so weird.
