Chapter 5 - He is Back

The servant’s unexpected interruption made Alejandro stunned and curious at the same time. He sensed that something wrong had happened. He locked his phone and whirled around to make eye contact with the servant who seemed really startled.

“And why is that so?” he asked, clenching his teeth. The servant parted his lips but then closed them back before moving one step away from Alejandro.

“I don’t know, Señor. but Señor Antonio ordered all the servants and security guards to take special care of you and allow nobody to come home nor you can go out," he flustered.

Alejandro glared at him for a while and then fisted the fingers in the palm. He took a deep breath and went to the living room. This is what Alejandro hates about Mexico. Restrictions on almost everything. He didn't want this fancy lifestyle. He just wanted to breathe freely. He loved his freedom. He always wanted to live like an open and free bird.

Without thinking twice, he quickly dialed his father but Antonio didn’t attend his call.

It didn't mean that Alejandro was desperate to see Maria. It was the unneeded security that bothered him. After failing to figure out how to get out of the mansion, he called Maria and told her the whole thing.

“Maria, I’m sorry but I cannot make it. Dad literally caged me. No security guard is allowing me to go out," Alejandro growled, trying his best to keep his voice low.

“Not a big deal. I will come to your place. Calm down,” She said.

“No, no, Dad said nobody can enter or exit the mansion. I know it sounds ridiculous but it feels like curfew in the house. Some bullshit security threat,” He panicked.

Maria kept silent for a few seconds as if she was figuring out the situation.

“You know what, Alejandro? I knew it from the very first day. You don't want me. Stop making excuses. I have some self-respect and I literally think that I wasted my mighty six years of life for you. Enough is enough. We are over!" she hung up without waiting for his answer.

"Damn it!" Growled Alejandro after throwing the cell phone on the wall and it broke into pieces.  After a long time, he was furious enough that he lost his control. He had bad temper issues and he was working for it for a long time, but sometimes, it is difficult to be calm and collected, the same happened at that moment. He wanted to change himself. He wanted to be a gentleman but sometimes it is impossible to control. Until when he could hide the beast inside him.

It was one at night and Alejandro was walking restlessly in the garden. He was waiting for his father to come back so that he can ask him why was he treating him like a prisoner. Suddenly the main entrance opened and Antonio's car along with three other cars full of his men entered the mansion.

Alejandro literally ran to the parking lot. He was curious about everything happening.

“Dad, what is going on?” Alejandro yelled and waited for his father to get out of the car.

“You called me here to cage me? I’m sick to my stomach. How could you do this to me, do you want me to be dead?” Without wasting a single second, Alejandro started growling at Antonio. Releasing his frustration while until his father appeared in front of him. Antonio glanced at him and gasped as if he was finding appropriate words to talk to his son.

“I want to save you from being dead, you fool!” Antonio roared back. He walked inside the mansion with his security guards, leaving Alejandro stunned.

Alejandro froze for a second and then started running behind Antonio. He held Antonio's shoulder and frowned. Antonio turned around and faced his son. He noticed Alejandro's puzzled face, noticing the urge to know the truth. Antonio gasped and softened his expression.

“He knows that you are back and now his next target is you," Antonio said.

"What do you mean?" Alejandro stammered.

“José Luis, he is back. It was my biggest mistake that I called you back here," Antonio replied, lowering his gaze. Alejandro could notice anxiety in Antonio's voice.

"Screw him, Dad. I don't care about him. It doesn’t mean that I’ll stay at home 24/7. If this is the problem then you’re also not safe. Why aren't you protecting yourself?" Alejandro argued, still furious and stubborn.

"Son, son!" Antonio clenched his teeth, holding Alejandro by his both shoulders.

"He cannot do anything to me. He wants to take revenge on me. He killed your mom. Did you hear me? He killed her. Now he is after you, and you’re my everything. Did you understand now?” He added, cupping Alejandro's face, voice shivering, hands trembling.

Alejandro saw the fear in his father's eyes for the first time. He was a brave man. But now, he seemed helpless, scared.

“I cannot live like that. I can't see you like that. I’m going back," Alejandro replied, taking off Antonio's hand from his face.

“No, Señor, you cannot go back. Now as he knows everything about you, he surely knows where you live in London," Robert interrupted, moving forward and joining the argument of father and son.

“You need to leave Mexico but you’re not going to London. I’m sending you to Turkey. Robert will go with you. Nobody can even imagine that you are living there. You will be safe, my son," Antonio said.

"Robert! Quickly arranges everything very secretly, not a single servant of the home should know about where he is going. I’m worried that a spy is among us. Leave Mexico within an hour," he ordered Robert. All of them started walking inside the mansion.

“But what about you, dad? If Robert will go with me, then who will take care of you?” Alejandro frowned.

His dad stopped. Everybody stopped with him. He looked at Alejandro, grinned, and cupped his face again. Suddenly, regrets, anxiety, loneliness, grief, all the sad emotions appeared in the atmosphere.

“I attempted my first murder when I was eleven. I’m not…a coward…like you," Antonio's furious words shivered Alejandro's self-respect. His own dad just called him a coward.

“Robert! he will not fly in public airplanes from now on. Call my partner in Turkey. Inform him about the situation and fly in our private charter,” Antonio instructed Robert while walking. His words left Alejandro in shock. He was so confused that he couldn’t figure out how to tackle this situation. His dad was so stubborn. He never listens to anyone when he is angry. Temper is in their genes.
