Chapter 26 Correct Placement 

The truck skidded next to me and Abby jumped out racing toward me.

"Was that my son? Did he tell you where Ezra is?" She asked me frantically. I told her Ezra was home at the hotel.

"What did he say about the baby?" My mom asked me and I told her he didn't say much.

"Keir was excited and told me the little one has a very unique wolf," Adira tells me in my mind. Wonderful, I thought, and was excited to have Bjorn around to show his younger sibling the ropes. I heard my mom gasp and followed her eyes to see Brian standing near the pack house looking sheepishly in our direction. I grabbed my mother's arm and told her I could explain. She jerked her arm away and headed directly over to where Brian stood. I raced after her and halted when she drew back and punched him in the eye.

"Damn you, commander-in-chief," she growled and I looked at Brian. He dropped to his knees and pleaded with my mother to forgive him and his past brutalities. My mother was crying and Abby went to her other side
